Only one guy deserves to be a star in this game: That is Henrik Lundqvist.

The rest of the team can be shot out of a cannon. Ironically, the only forward who was playing with any confidence with the puck was Brian Boyle. But being Brian Boyle, he still can't do much of anything offensively.

stand by my earlier statement.

We will not win playing the game the way we played tonight.

We got lucky and Lundqvist was awesome.

Great to get the 2 points, but this is no way to play the game.

Torts has got to go

Couldn't have said it better myself. Agreed on all points. I was telling my friend after the game the other night we will not win a cup as long as Torts is coaching this team. I love torts or maybe loved but at this time he isn't the right coach for this team anymore IMO.

The Poor Isles. Biggest game for the franchise in six years and they cant score a goal and lose to the Rangers.

Rangers have almost three days off but will probably get a tough effort from Philly.

It's Bob vs Lundqvist for the Vezina. Coming down to the wire.

Girardi from Brassard and Del Zotto.

Possibly the 3 worst players this game combine for the OT game winner. I'll take it.

1. Lundqvist
2. Post
3. Boyle
HM: Zuccs, Powe

Nail biter.

We really should have won in regulation, but I'll take it.

Hank deserved the SO.

It's also, you know, a big win. And making the playoffs leads to more hockey...

At this point, I'm looking at the big picture, because this organization isn't a Cup contender, they're far from it, and without this goalie they're closer to a lottery team than a playoff bubble team.

I can't imagine being mad after winning a game. Ya'll been asking Hank to steal a game for us and he stole one of the most important games of the season and posted his first shutout. Yes, we were lucky in the defensive zone but it's not like we had much luck in the offensive zone. Take these two points and run.

Sweden is a pretty beautiful country. The landscapes, the people, Lundqvist, the food, Lundqvist, the aura, Hagelin, Lundqvist, Lundqvist and Lundqvist.

Lundqvist was great, and the offense was pretty terrible.

But did it ever occur to you that it looked like every Islander shot was a great one because only perfect plays were even getting to the net? Our D was pretty solid and this is exactly the kind of game the D was built around.

sorry, not buying it.

Rangers playing so passive in their own zone allowed the Islanders to dominate territorally.

Swarmed all night because the Rangers allowed them to

I disagree that our D was solid.

I thought they played hot potato all night with the puck and were soft on the forwards.

I thought the whole team played like crap aside from Hank

Henrik looked like an excited kid skating out from the crease after the winning goal. He was probably ecstatic.

Icelander fans acting like we had all the luck... Stepans shot didnt ring off the post, right?

This team is still bad. Hopefully changes are made in the offseason.

Rangers are still top half in the league in 5v5 Corsi and Fenwick. And they have the best goalie in the league.

Again, you use saber stats to prove a point while ignoring the ones that don't prove your point.

It isn't just this game, its the 41 games up to this point so far. Nothing is gonna change. Hank is just ramping his game up as usual at the right time while we are all still praying and hoping the rest of our team does as well. 45-50 mins played in our zone tonight? unacceptable.

And yet... not much got through in reality. 21 blocked shots...
