You should quantify the numbers with other players to see how much of an impact it really is vs just focusing on one player without proper context

Janmark got a 2nd +3rd that s the floor for Lekhonen.
Pavel Buchnevich, an RFA, returned a 2nd and Sammy Blais last offseason in a trade. He had 48 points in 54 games last year. This year he is a PPG player. There are many examples that say the price is never going to be a First for Lehkonen. But You have the right to believe so.

You're right, if Drury was willing to give up Buchnevich for a just Blais and a 2nd, then Lehkonen could get way more than a 1st from him.

Buchnevich didn't have a contract. The entire league knew the Rangers' depth on the LW would force someone to play on the RW, and with Kakko, where are all these guys getting top-6 minutes. You have to wonder if a lot of teams weren't as interested because he was one of those guys that teams maybe felt was more a product of Mika and Kreids.

Friedman reported otherwise.

Seravalli also said the Rangers had “next level interest” in JT Miller over a month ago, but there’s been little to no reports of anything from any of the NY beats.

Zac Jones is apparently sticking on the 3rd pair with Schneider, who performed wonderfully on the 1st pair in Adam Fox’s absence. He even looked better than Lindgren while playing with Lindgren.

I doubt that they want to pay some sort of ridiculous asking price for Chiarot, who isn’t all that great.

Buchnevich had a very bad return IMO if you look at comps (yielded less than Zucker Foligno Toffoli)

Buchnevich >> Janmark > Lehkonen
Buchnevich was traded during the summer because NYR knew they didn't want to give him the contract he wanted. Janmark when he was trade and Lehkonen if he's traded before the TDL, are playoffs acquisition on cheap contracts.

I'm curious to see why you have Janmark ahead of Lehkonen, they are probably the most equal players there is.

In less than 5 weeks We Will see who eats crow, No?

It doesn't have to be that confrontational. If someone points out a past trade that they want to use as a value point, it's not an unreasonable opinion but values can get skewed cause in many cases their are circumstantial

Why not buy low on Joel Armia at the same time ?

The guy can completely take over a shift WHEN he is ON.

Joel has all the tools but this season has been a nightmare.
