Crazy stupid. Was by far the best dman in the new year, insane to not chase that down.
Fair enough. I just think that Lindgren brings a lot to the table on the back end. Grit, physicality, takes the body. I know that in some way, those players have become out of fashion, but how long has this team been looking for a player like that. Even if it's on the bottom six pairing.
I’m wondering why JD is giving this press conference and not Gorton
I agree. Like I said then, he seems to know exactly what he needs to do to be effective and stays within those parameters. Important for a player to know that. And this team could use some snarl.
I actually think Gorton loves this. He never seems all that comfortable in front of a microphone. He's also so close to the action that it becomes difficult for him to parse certain situations. JD takes a lot of pressure off GMJGIt's JD's team now.
JD was brought in to be the face and voice of the Rangers.. Sather was clearly quite detached the last several years; he probably was hanging on because he really wanted to prove everyone wrong and win one more Stanley Cup. Gorton became the voice of the Rangers because Sather wouldn't (or couldn't).
Gorton will get plenty of time with the pres--assuming he wants to be engaged with them.
really intrigued by what JD meant with Andersson transforming his body completely. Looking forward to the photos.

Does my head in when I read other teams' boards. "Yada yada 14 should get more icetime than 9 yada yada 11-22-61 has been better than 38-7-15 tonight yada yada"I honestly couldn’t care less about what number anyone wears. All the talk about what number looks right or should be for what kind of player is like another language to me.
Yep, I agree. I give Gorton real credit for stepping up and filling the void--Sather never wanted to meet with the NY press unless he wanted to send a public message. However, Gorton never looked very comfortable doing it and sometimes could be rather confrontational.
JD is very smooth and obviously very comfortable communicating with everyone. But, he's not a front man, he was brought into the organization to run it. I think we're going to see a lot of him this season. It will be very nice to have real updates from the leaders of the organization. I was very tired of the Man Behind the Curtain (since about 2000).
Was that Andersson wearing a jersey with no number?
someone please do thatI hope the first photo released is a picture of the rock with Andersson's head photoshopped on it.
Brandon Crawley's from my hometown, so if he makes a single nice play all preseason I'm gonna be here saying he deserves to make the team. Just a warning, want you to know what you're all up against
Know one is more overjoyed than me. Oh baby!I'm still pinching myself that JD is back home. That "everything good Sammy?" at the end just made me feel 10 years old again. I can't effing wait for the season to start.
Lindgren is very much a Quinn type of player. I think he makes it as the 7th D tbh.
Pettersson just resigned for $874.125 for one year in Pittsburgh. Tony D needs to head this

JD asked Sam "everything good Sammy?"cause Sam didn't ask one question at the interview.
Setting aside my love for this man, and the fact he has always been a Ranger at heart,... he has turned out to be one of the best Presidents in the NHL. He turned around two clubs in the short time he has been in this position.
