Quinn saw that line in practice and in scrimmages. Just because we didn't see it doesn't mean Quinn didn't see what he wanted to see from them. And for all we know, the line change has nothing to do with him breaking up that group. Buchnevich isn't playing in this game at all, so someone had to go to that line.

and literally EVERY comment from people watching is that those lines looked great together. there was not a single negative comment

The lines will probably go back to what they were before when the season starts.

Not everyone is playing tomorrow and if there is a time to f*** around with combos, now is the time.

Anything resembling a bag of pucks and a couple of sticks would look good to most at this point....

Edit: Meaning it's nice to even be flirting with real hockey after a long off-season

I didn't realize Boo was so big, biggestguy on that roster....Never had a chance to see him play when I lived in Syracuse. Wonder what his draft size was..

Boo has a lot of NHL “potential”. It took a long time for him to get back on track after his concussion, even long after he hit the ice he didn’t quite look 100%. His combination of size and wheels are outstanding.

Boo could become a very strong 4th line C. Do we have room for him?

I didn't realize Boo was so big, biggestguy on that roster....Never had a chance to see him play when I lived in Syracuse. Wonder what his draft size was..

What's funny is I really do like boo a lot. But I hate the stupid crap bern says about him more than I like him so I end up taking a giant crap on the stupid bern posts and it makes it look like I hate boo. I'm hoping he's a bottom six guy for us for many years.

Plan is still to have Buch play 1st line RW

Plans could obviously change but unless Buch does something to lose it I think they start the season that way

Feels like we have 5 legit lines right now.

Problem is that only 1 of them is a proven NHL top six line. It should be a really good top line (it almost shouldn't matter who you put with Panarin and Zibanejad) and I think Kreider will do a ton to help out whoever centers that second line along with Kakko or Buch, but realistically the depth is very unproven and young talent is often raw talent that has some growing pains.

Why do we need to see more if everyone already knows they work well together? Are we worried about winning this game? Maybe it's a good idea to see what other players can do in different combinations. You know, because it's training camp and preseason, and we aren't going to have our final roster set for a couple weeks.

He was 6'2" 200 lbs in his draft year, IIRC

Depending on where you looked he was anywhere from 6'2.75-6'3 and 184-190 pounds

This happens every year with every team. Teams rarely play their top lines together all pre-season. If Buch gets hurt Game 10, it behooves the staff to see what Kakko looks like there. it also insulates the kid in his first real NHL experience.

The Jaromir Jagr Bar was cool, had Some nice merchandise and stuff, but i was there “decades” ago, do not know how it is now. I bought a Jagr puck from glass.

Oh and when in Prague, go for the schnitzels and beer, They are Great.

Oh god I was taking some coats out the closet and saw a big spider just chilling on one of them. I admit that despite my size I am terrified of all creepy crawlies. Scared me more than Quinn changing the line ups already. The spider wasn't like a black one, more a light color and harder to see.

Yaaaa I don’t think Kakko will be with those two often in general. I think he’ll get plenty of ice time on the second unit and top PP unit.
