what browser are you using

Firefox blocks some tracking stuff that prevents tweets from being embedded, though that might be something you have to turn on
I have the issue on Firefox. If you disable the do not track feature, it should display the tweets. I have to refresh the page once I get linked to the tweet after clicking on it, otherwise it says the tweet cannot be displayed.

I had the same issue, it fixed itself for me when I deleted every single addon I had on chrome(I had dozens). No idea which one did it.

Got myself and my son free tickets to tomorrow’s game and can’t believe our luck that we actually get to see ALL new names brought in since last season: Panarin, Kakko, Kravtsov, Trouba, Fox and Shesterkin!

Think the PP1 might look like this in the regular season?

Zibanejad in the slot is an absolute waste. Put him on the 2nd PP unit.

PP1:

Trouba

Kravtsov Chytil Panarin

Kakko

PP2:

Fox

Buchnevich Strome/Andersson Zibanejad

Kreider

Kakko at his best in front of the net on the PP is a hill I'm willing to die on. You'll all see.

Zibanejad has the 6th most 5v4 PP goals in the last since 2017-2018. I can not get behind moving him to the second unit. Play Panarin on his strong side on the RW on the PP where he has played on the PP very often in his career.

Then you take away opportunities from Buchnevich and Kravstov. A good problem to have.

Plan is still to have Buch play 1st line RW

Plans could obviously change but unless Buch does something to lose it I think they start the season that way

Problem is that only 1 of them is a proven NHL top six line. It should be a really good top line (it almost shouldn't matter who you put with Panarin and Zibanejad) and I think Kreider will do a ton to help

It should be a really good top line (it almost shouldn't matter who you put with Panarin and Zibanejad) and I think Kreider will do a ton to help out whoever centers that second line along with Kakko or Buch, but realistically the depth is very unproven and young talent is often raw talent that has some growing pains.

I think it’s shit or get off the pot for Buchnevich. Top line minutes, best line mates, Russian icon to hold his hand and on and on. He certainly had a good run at the end of last year. Now we find out if it was for real or just a salary drive.

It’s really exciting. If he steps up, the Ranges could have a top six as good as any team. Let that sink in. The forward group is developing ahead of the defense on this team and reinforcements are coming. A productive Buchnevich makes this forward group very formidable.

The thought of Kreider and Kakko on a second line is pretty exciting too.

Hughes scored two goals last night including the OT winner.
They listed Chytil on the injury report. Won't play tomorrow. Did he get hurt?

where did you see chytil is hurt? I can't find anything on twitter

seems like the rangers PR hype machine leading to mika being named captain opening night is in full force

Brayden Point led the league in PPG playing the bumper spot and guys like Bergeron and Scheifele are very productive goal scorers from the bumper on the PP too. I have to agree with SA16 that he should be on the 1st unit because ice time is the biggest thing regardless of role.

As for the Kakko thing, I could see that too. John Tavares and Kuznetsov, two good puck handlers, play down low on their teams PPs.I could see Kakko and Kravtsov interchanging like Backstrom and Kuznetsov do on WSH’s PP to break down the PK, if they slotted them like you have it.

Lots of talent and things to do with it on the PP so good problems to have like you said.

I wouldn't get too hung up on labels like unit 1 and unit 2.

It goes back to me going nuts every time someone starts talking about how someone is a 2nd line player or what not. The goal should be to have as many strong lines as possible.

What @I Eat Crow suggested has the potential to be 2 absolutely lethal units. Maybe you use Zibaejad for almost the full 2 in place of someone else on "unit 1", I don't know, but I personally love the layout posted by IEC.

Nah. Kakko belongs on the half wall. His playmaking ability is way too special to be wasted standing in front of the net.

I would on the PP. There's generally a pretty big split between PP1 and PP2 ice time not to mention the PP2 often has a lot of I guess you can call it unusable ice time when they start on the fly. Almost all of the teams with good PP go very heavy on one unit (Toronto being an exception and they were routinely criticized for it in the playoffs)

I mean, he'll get point production at that line. The question will be how well he complements them compared to the other available options.

I'm thinking he'll do quite well.

This was my biggest concern with bringing in panarin. They’d move Mika off that soft wing on the pp. it’s a mistake. Mika is a better shooter than panarin. But this is an issue. I’d move panarin to the other wall and put Buchy in the bumper spot. I don’t like taking Mika off that wing.

Time will tell. I see Kakko as more of a goalscorer in the NHL. I think he will be more of a goal scorer that can pass the puck really well than a playmaker that can pot some goals, if that makes sense.

I don’t see rookies taking 1PP unit time away from the Rangers’ established and effective PP fixtures like Zibanejad, Kreider and Buchnevich. However, to me it points out to two things:

1. The Rangers could potentially have two largely equal units with interchangeable parts depending on who’s going at a moment

2. Flexible PP unit structure where blue line could be manned either by one or two players from the likes of Trouba, ADA, Fox and / or Zibanejad.

P.S. To a separate post I see absolutely no way for a lefty D like Skjei to find a PP opportunity this season

Pretty much this. Didn’t see this post while I was writing mine but we have the same idea. Labels are silly. Earn you minutes based on actual performance when given an opportunity, not promise.
