While I tend to agree, Andrew Gross was pretty good when he had it. And another dude from LoHud way back when, forgot his name. I could be wrong, but also feel like the issue of coverage is partially due to MSG/Cablevisions policies.
Very surprised MSG isn't doing anything around the camp like last year though, especially with all the hype. Maybe it has to do with the new facilities. Or maybe the team didn't want the distractions and or added pressure for the youths. But this is NY. Cant shield them forever and its probably not a good idea to try.
Sam Weinman was the GOAT.
"In my day we had to wait a week for the bird's chirp to reach the west coast. And boy did we appreciate it. Now that was a tweet!"I'd rather have information and ignore it if I choose to than just not get it. It's not that this stuff is super meaningful, it's that people are excited and anything is welcome.

Strange we don't agree on this one Ola. Your way off base on this. When JD left STL, they were 1st in their division with 109 pts, and became a playoff team again. And been a playoff team ever since. You can't possibly say he had nothing to do with that. I'm really surprised you feel this way. Then he goes on to STL and get zero results and accomplish nothing and then its CBJ and its just more of the same.
Wait, you’re saying JD is complicit in the late 90’s early 2000’s prelockout debacle, because he was a fan and gung-ho on the broadcast at the time and didn’t call the team out (that was paying him) as an all-time bad unadapting team? You’re reaching here.
No, he said Zibanejad was centering the first line.
That’s what I originally had myself but I put Lemieux there because the fourth line is kinda funky with Andersson at 3LW.I’d like to see what a Andersson-Howden-Kravtsov line would look like
I think it gives us more depth. I love the idea of an all out top line with Z/P and Kakko but a having pairings of Z/P and Kreider/Kakko on two lines is impressive. They’ll both dominate possession IMO.Makes sense to start Buch up on the top line instead of throwing Kakko/Kravtsov to the wolves. Let them get their feet wet and get some momentum going before moving them up.
I kinda like our setup right now honestly. We have 14 guys who are NHLers imo and it gives us the opportunity to swap guys out. Fast/Strome/Namestnikov all provide versatility and we can keep them extra fresh all year, while also spelling younger guys like Chytil/Andersson/Kravstov if need betoo many forwards
Just to get everyone in the mood.![]()
Oh absolutely, JD was a front runner of the “you can’t trap in NY” crowd. He wasn’t complicit, but it proved that he at one point at least lacked the ability to understand that the game had evolved and what worked in the new environment.
If you take that fact, and add to it that he recently was the president of a franchise that had the coach who very much was stuck in the past, it does concern me a bit.
I like everything that Quinn is saying.
