Can't expect to win every game I guess, it's just frustrating cuz this was such a winnable game. I won't begin to mention refs or puck luck, I'll just tip my hat to Montreal on executing enough to get the win. The Rangers have real good resolve and usually re-group well after games like this, so I am looking forward to a solid game 4.

worst outcome possible. this f-ing montreal team isn't going to go away.

go back through the previous game threads tonight - many of us said it - that this game STINKS of the boston series - and sure enough, here we go again

because of this totally predictable loss tonight - this series is totally up in the air. Montreal can absolutely take it now. Cant believe it. Who the hell is gonna knock them off?

Since game 1 in Boston, all they've done is get totally dominated and win the game. Game. After game. After game. After game. Same old game plan. Get walked all over each game.. and then win it. seems like it can't be real, with the way they play such garbage hockey, and here they are, ready to go deep into round 3. Someone had better figure them out, and fast. If the way to win a game is to get destroyed for 60 minutes and then still win it, maybe the Rangers should adapt this style of play. Because it worked for Montreal for 7 games in Boston and now tonight again.

I really hate to say it, but this is going to go right to 7 games and don't be surprised if the habs take it.

wow you're in full panic mode bro. chillax.

MTL wins one game and they're going to take it? Rangers could have won but didn't do enough. If we lose Sunday then i'd be concerned...

CHI and LA are tied.. Rangers shouldn't lose another game?

Hoping we'd win tonight but didn't think we'd sweep...

just have to win Sunday. the rangers can't watch the play so much. they have to execute.

I said you wouldn't be able to control yourself.

Hank gave up a soft goal. The others were not even the slightest bit his fault.

I remain perplexed whether you are driven by agenda or you don't fully grasp what you watch.

The latter appears to be more likely.

Maybe you could explain to Hank how he should have played that last one. I will make it easier. Tell us.

Velcro on the pads?

Do you ever post on here without criticizing other posters? Just curious. Just about every post you make is whining about something someone else wrote. I don't agree with the guy at all, but all you do is complain about his posting.

As upset as I am about the loss did anyone really expect us to be up 3-0? Let's pump the brakes a bit here, boys.

it's not the loss tonight that's concerning - the deeper concern is HOW they lost - that they outplayed this habs team for all 60 minutes and still lost it. It happened for the entire boston series as well- boston steamrolled them in almost every game and still lost. Montreal has been outplayed game after game after game and they just steal the f'ng game at the end. If this happens again next game, watch out. They're on to something. Sit back, get hammered by the opposition for all 60 minutes, then score on an a rare opportunity.

Can a team win a cup playing like that? Or does luck eventually run out? Because they've been riding lady luck since game 1 in boston and it hasn't ran out on them yet... they just keep playing a garbage game and then winning it. That's the part that's worrisome for New York here. If they can't score next game, the series win will go to Montreal.

It's not the end of the world.
Rangers will need to up the attack on Tokarski.
Was it a strange coincidence that the tying goal was by Kreider right in front of Tokarski? Of course not.

This

Before series if anyone told you we'd be up 2-1 in series heading into Game 4 at home would you have taken it? Damn straight we would have. If it helps any of y'all get off the ledge make believe we split the two in Montreal and we won tonight.

That said advantage of being up 2-0 having won 2 games in other teams barn is you have two games to play with. Ok via flukes and bad luck we gave away one of the two. Like Kev said, did anyone really think we were going to break out the broom and pull off a sweep? Sunday we'll take care of business win the game and go up 3-1 in the series. I am supremely confident of this. Relax folks, we are still very much in control of the series.

Like maybe being square to the shooter?

that is not a sustainable strategy

Yup, going into tonight I just wanted a split at home. Obviously I would have preferred to take this one and lose on Sunday...but the opposite will serve the same purpose.

Oh god, like when we were down 2-0 to them in Game 6, this board would have been insufferable beyond belief. Its one game. You move on and prepare for the next.

Two excellent posts.

My reaction to the loss? "Ah ****. Oh well, come back out and get 'em in the next game."

A team that came back the way they did against the Pens can shrug off a loss like this. Play 10 games like this one and you'll win 9 out of 10. Come back and do the same Sunday night.

It's not that this loss is bad. It's really not awful. Just a ****** game. But so many factors come into play.

-In typical Ranger fashion, Tokarski is the next Dryden.

-Rangers still can't ****ing win on home ice.

-Montreal gets all the momentum from a game they were absolute garbage in. Speaking of, **** they're a lucky team. Like, REALLY lucky.

-If Montreal wins game 4, this series is over, in my opinion.

Something has to be said for the Habs d-men basically being out of gas in the third like that.

We really need to keep pushing their d-men around...Fire away

Let's take a chill pill, bro. I'm furious, and now we have to wait another 3 days for a game, but relax. They'll regroup. I do agree if Montreal wins Game 4 we're in trouble, but this fanbase is freaking bipolar. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Let's see how they react. They handle adversity well.

If Montreal wins Game 4, it will be 2-2. You have to win 4 games.

What is with this team and not bringing it on Home Ice? We look so comfortable and synchronized on the road and we come home and we look ordinary again.
