Wow, lose one game and this board goes into meltdown mode. Imagine what this board would have been like in 1994 during the Devils series, lol.

Game 6 would have been a nightmare until the Rangers started coming back. Imagine down 3-2 in the series + the Guarantee + the Rangers losing 2-0.

Everyone take a deep breath. We won 5 playoff games in a row. Hank has been Houdini in this series. We were bound to have a bounce and game go against us.

We dominated the play tonight. We will win on Sunday. All be ok in this world again. We will go back to Montreal 3-1 , maybe even lose game 5.....then close it out at home at game 6.

Guys.... we had a FIVE game winning streak in the PLAYOFFS were bound to lose one.. just have to bounce back.. I'm never optimistic but we'll be alright.. LGR! :yo:

I'm glad I didn't blow 500$ to see the rangers make dustin ****ing tokarski look like patrick roy in his prime.

Just win Game 4 and it gives us 3 cracks at the 4th win. Win the next game.

I'm never a doom and gloom guy, but I fully expect Montreal to win game 4. Their goalie is hot, they know they can beat Hank. It's a different series now.

Btw, what a crappy goal to lose on. First they get a fluky goal to go ahead, then we get an even flukier one to tie it and they get one that's the flukiest of them all to win the game...come on!

And MSL, please shoot top corner every chance you get. You'd have had 2 goals this game if you just shot the puck mere inches higher. Thank you.

Not even that.. I think we'll win in five.. also I love your name:laugh:

What is with this team and not bringing it on Home Ice? We look so comfortable and synchronized on the road and we come home and we look ordinary again.

I wouldn't say they looked "ordinary". They were arguably the better team tonight, but Tokarski just stoned them on a number of occasions. They just have to find a way to finish.

This team despite their best efforts still lacks finishers, even with MSL now here. Although at least MSL forced Tokarski to make some great saves. Most of the game we were barely testing him despite getting great opportunities. The shots at one point were 9-4 Montreal in the 3rd and it was LAUGHABLE because we spent the entire time in their zone. It was block after block and missed shot after missed shot. This series went from me thinking about who we're playing in the finals, to me just knowing we'll blow it. All because of lucky ****ing Montreal. Seriously, 4 flukes out of 6 goals. You can't make this **** up. Montreal should be down 3-0. We outplayed them all game, but when we had a chance just ****ed it up. Only a handful of times were we making him make great saves. Really, it was pathetic. Chicago scores AT LEAST 4 in this game, if not 5. No one on this damn team can finish. I feel like this is my damn complaint after every loss.

we were up 2-1 in the conference finals 2 years ago. that didnt end well. they blew a huge opportunity tonite. brassard better play sunday nite.

Rangers just came off of a 5 game winning streak AND were clearly the better team tonight.

just look at it this way. Game 2 Montreal outplayed us, and lost. Game 3 we outplayed them, and lost.

If the results were switched, it would be a very different tune here tonight.

im not really concerned. we played easily well enough to win. sometimes those bounces will turn.

The goalie made good saves.. sometimes you get robbed.. that's hockey

Different scenarios. Torts was relying on 5 D-men (Who were spent) and kept rolling 3 lines.

That's all true, but now we're going into Sunday in a damn near must-win situation.

It's not that this loss is bad. It's really not awful. Just a ****** game. But so many factors come into play.

-Montreal gets all the momentum from a game they were absolute garbage in. Speaking of, **** they're a lucky team. Like, REALLY lucky.

this is what they've been doing since the 2nd round. They just steal these games by a single goal; they're winning all the games where they were totally outplayed for 60 minutes. This is going to be a big, big problem for New York to solve - they have to figure out a way to keep outplaying them AND win the freaking game. Boston couldn't figure it out. Yeah, they knew how to outplay montreal for all 60 minutes, but montreal figured out a way to survive that onslaught and then steal the game at the end. How many times has this happened now?

All I gotta say is that this was the worst outcome possible tonight. It would have been okay if Montreal played even a half-decent game and won it. But they didn't. They sucked all game. And won. Just like 6 or 7 of the games in round 2. That is luck at its finest. And it's not running out on them. New York *has* to win the next one or I agree, this one will be over.

I hear you but I think we also had home ice advantage that series and we split first 2 games.
Team needs get back to basics

All of you acting like losing this isn't a big deal.. you won't be saying that when Montreal wins game 4 and heads back home with all the momentum. Not putting teams away will eventually come back to haunt the rangers.
How about we cross that bridge when we get to it instead of freaking out about a game that we controlled yet was decided by some flukey ass goals. There are some thing to worry about in this game but they can fix it before game 4.
