That's not true at all. That puck would have went in had Staal checked him or not. If he had checked him, he's risking an interference penalty, anyway. If Staal is checking him, the momentum is carrying them both to that same place and the puck then goes off Staal instead of Galch.

That is simply a bad bounce and you can't blame Hank OR Staal for it.

This is what I was about to post. It was a hard shot that went off Gally's face. If Staal takes him out he risks interference. If he ties up his stick the puck still goes off Gally's face. Probably the only thing to argue he could have done better is subtly get better body position...but then the puck still has a good chance of going in off Staal's back.

Carcillo will get 3 games - he has a history. Prust will get nothing, because initial contact was to the chest.

Overall I thought the Rangers played well. Got some terrible bounces.

Need to win the next one at MSG. Can't go back to Montreal tied.

If this goes back to Montreal tied, we lose the series.

Must. ****ing. Win Game 4.

I attribute this loss to shots wide, lack of pressure in front of Tokarski, and shot blocking by MTL. Hank was the least suspect tonight.

Smother it? Like 95% of other NHL goaltenders.

My biggest criticism of Hank is his seeming inability to melt the puck. He's always coughing up silly rebounds like this. Tonight, he got burned twice.

Sure, it's a lucky bounce, but it's a bounce that didn't have to happen.

lmmfao...please 95% of goalies aren't smothering that puck

Wow, lose one game and this board goes into meltdown mode. Imagine what this board would have been like in 1994 during the Devils series, lol.

I did think Hank looked a bit shaky in this one. Wasn't as confident in him as I was the first two games, he felt a little off to me.

Needed the team to step up and score one more for him after the string of games he just had, though, so I'm gonna give him a break.

The king didn't miss the net on a bunch of glorious chances, or give up shots to try and deke past that last guy *cough* Nash *cough*. Not his best game, but the Rangers should have potted 3 in regulation.

Seems like you had a bad feed

All those misses were actually ridicilous saves by Tokarski

Sieve on the 1st goal, way out of his net on the 2nd goal, spit out a massive rebound on an easy shot on the 3rd goal.

Great players have bad games. He had a bad game.

Shame we couldn't pick him up the way he picked us up in Pittsburgh, but he was bad.

The only goal he wants back is the 1st. The other two weren't his fault.

They were way too sloppy and way too careless. The defense made bad reads at times and almost got caught pinching. The lack or urgency was noticeable too.

First goal was bad...can't blame him on the other two.

Killer instinct and putting this team away and you never get to OT...but it's easy to blame the goalie

And how the hell are people blaming Staal on the OT goal? It practically went in off the face of Galchenyuk after going off Hank. I don't get it.

Why is that? If that happens the home team won't have won a game. But yeah, I'll be feeling a lot more comfortable up 3-1.

If Montreal goes back to that madhouse Bell tied 2-2, with the next Dryden in net, how can you see them NOT winning game 5? Boatloads of momentum.

And this is the ****ing Rangers. Nothing is easy for these idiots.

He was, but I still think we could have scored more than two on him. We missed the net on several great opportunities.

Yup...too many shots going wide. Such a disjointed game. I didn't like the flow. Too many times Toksrdki would leave a rebound that the Rangers were not in position to take advantage of. Nice to see the faith some in this fanbase have in this team. They just win five straight in the playoffs. The odds were almost going to swing against them at some point.

Lost this game when MSL had like 5 point blank empty net chances and couldnt cash in. we did get goals shortly thereafter...but it just had that feeling of a game we would lose.
