😂 I fixed it lastnight. Turns out it was just some cover for the factory baby seat harnesses. They might need to come off anyways, I'm doing pretty good 😊

And congrats on younger, I went 4 + and am extremely happy. She questioned me on it and I just said there's something about my favorite baseball glove...she didn't get it lol

Sometimes I like Doug DeMuro, sometimes he annoys me.

What does NOT annoy me is a Toyota Supra with a 3rd pedal. Inject that right into my veins.
Lol have you ever watched Scott Killmer? I think thats his name. Now thats annoying

I also enjoy the Chrisfix channel and lately I've been binging on rainmans repairs. He's a mechanic and films everything. Very useful, but oddly satisfying

Maybe for the lolz and then you can appreciate Demuro more
Update: Watched this Kilmer guy. A clickbaiter and try-harder of the highest order. Do not recommend.

ChrisFix I like. Never heard of rainmans repairs, is it Dustin Hoffman in character?

Just watch it lol. The guy is clearly a pro. He works on every vehicle type, and I'm still figuring out Chevy engineering.

So is Chevy
Lol. I love Chev's and will continue to buy them untill I'm disappointed.

Now having a Toyota in my driveway soon is going to be weird. Was supposed to be about now, but pushed back till July. Again I'll be excited to poke and prod around and probably find something to break lol

I don't particularly love or hate any car make...I do like making jokes though, so they're all targets! ;)

I honestly believe that today's cars overall... most are pretty good. Not a lot of separation quality-wise between makes as there was 25-30 years ago. There are bad models here and there from every manufacturer though, so you still need to pay attention, but they're fewer and further between these days.

Agreed, though European car makers need to be called out for the repairs/parts often costing so damn much more than they should.

You made some good points. It's not the old days anymore. I still like the idea off supporting the local economy though. Even the Toyota is built here in Ontario. And when I was younger Honda was nice enough to give me a job machining oil pumps.

You'd still never catch me in a Nissan though....ok maybe a Z lol

I would oh so reluctantly accept a Nissan GTR Nismo if forced to do so at gunpoint.

Got the disc conversion done up front on the Chevelle, kinda. Two hoses were leaking and the pressure to the rear drums is insane. Ordered a proportioning valve, and called the supplier for replacement hoses. She stops, but the rear brakes lock up pretty bad.

Hopefully gets done next week and we have the car as a summer driver. Next year fuel injection?

Well that's some progress. Sucks about the little snags though.

I gotta get off my ass and do my brakes. Getting lots of feedback in the pedal so Im assuming the rotors are cooked. Pedal is also soft and poor braking performance. Not exactly safe in any vehicle but especially in my rig. Time to go shopping!

Yesterday I detailed under the hood and all the door jams and pillars, while enjoying a few adult juice boxes. And as im typing this the pavers are here for the driveway. Fun times!

The new tires came in over the weekend and got them put on yesterday.

Tough to tell the immediate impact of going with a wider rear tire when going from such worn down tires., I will say the new MPS4S tires give a much quieter ride than the MPSS tires that were on it.

Obviously they felt very grippy, but I'll need to give them time to get a more true assessment. The MPSS tires were very grippy when new as well... but as they aged I was getting a bit disappointed with them. They were still FAR better than the original Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires the Shelby came with, but there was still a rather sharp decline in grip as they aged than I would've preferred.

I know I'm still pretty happy with the set of MPS4S tires I put on the Audi last year, but AWD is very different than RWD. Getting the power to the ground is much more of a critical issue for the Shelby than the Audi.

So far so good though on the new tires, but as I said, for a full eval I'll definitely need more time to compare how they do.

Saw a Ferrari F8 Tributo today. Just spectacular.

Way faster than the 458 Italia, especially in real-world settings? Yep. Would I take one over a 458 Italia if given the option? Nope.
