Minors Post:

*Cruz with a 3B and a walk at Indy. Good stuff. You LOVE to see Castro on base 4 times, guy is honing in his plate discipline. Seems like they are just gonna pick up the game tomorrow in the bottom of the 9th. Weird double-header.
*Nicholas with another great outing at Altoona. Hard to hold him out of our Top 10 at this point. Lolo Sanchez is hitting great to start the year; kind of a forgotten prospect in our system but he is unquestionably trending upwards since things resumed last year.
*Jones with a strong start at Greensboro. Davis homered - he is just too good for that level.

I think my Top whatever at this point is:
1) Davis
2) Roansy
3) Cruz
4) Peguero
5) Gonzales
6) Burrows
7) Nicholas
8) Endy Rodriguez
9) Priester
10) Castro

11-15: Jones, Mlod, Solometo, Bae, Tahnaj Thomas
16-20: Chandler, Escotto, Suwinski, Cal Mitchell, Omar Cruz

The Reds are 3-22!?!?!?
If we don't take at least 2/3 it will be a disaster. And yet I feel like we will choke this.

Yeah. I mean the Reds lost Gray, Lorenzen, Castellanos, Winker and Suarez. Plus father time has finally caught Votto. They have a lefty pitching prospect who could dominate us (Lodolo) but also Hunter Greene who I think is not very good.

Marisnick adding to his highlight reel!

Another oustanding diving catch.

2-2 going to the 8th.

Great job by the ump tossing Knapp because his zone has been a joke all day so now we don't have a catcher.

Great job, ump. You really put on a show for the people out there.

The Pirates can probably get a catcher from Indy for game 2, since that game won't start until 6:40, but they better move fast to get that.

It would be swell for Reynolds to put one in the seats here to make this game safe.

Probably the worst half-inning of the season.

Hayes and Vogey completely choked. Now we lose.

This umpire really desperately wants the Reds' losing streak to end.

Pirates pitchers have not gotten 1 called strike off the plate and the Reds have gotten at least 10.

Good lord.

Pirates had bases loaded, no outs, and get no runs out of it.

3 K's.

VanMeter to catch.

I can't believe they are legitimately trying to spike breaking balls with guys on base.

Just chuck fastballs geniuses.

Yeah Crowe is doing VanMeter no favors here. First he beams a guy and then he spikes one in the ground to let the runner advance.

Maybe it's just a discomfort with VanMeter behind the plate but Crowe isn't helping. Crowe should be solely throwing fast balls and sliders, because VanMeter can clearly track both of those.
