It has been awesome to use Fubo to flip back & forth and skip these stupid gambling commercials.

I have mixed thoughts on Kranick. He has awesome stuff in short stints but I despise his command.

You feel it is coming for Reynolds, which is badly needed.

Raise it indeed.

The Reds are heinously bad and injured, so it sucks to not sweep it. That said we had terrible batted ball luck and were hosed by the HP Umps in both games. It was good that the team was able to overcome Bad Keller out there tonight, but it also sucks that Bad Keller is still a thing.

Regardless of what the stats say, Mahle has done well against us in the past so I don't love our chances tomorrow. Then it's "Mission: Avoid Getting Swept" against LAD.

I'mg glad PNC isn't a band box like Great American. I dunno, seems kinda cheap to see all those homers flying out.

Keller sporting that 6.11 ERA......yucky.

The problem is between the ears, still.

To have a 4-run lead and then still give up 2 in the bottom half...he's vulnerable up there on that mound.

I wish I could see him finding it because the stuff is now up a tick. But I don't.

I guess we live with Hayes' day off. I just wish it was against a lefty; Chavis hits them much better.

Hopefully this is the last we see of Tucker if Castro is promoted next week. But I'm not counting on it.

Reynolds can't lay off the high stuff.

In fairness Mahle lives at the top of the zone. Reynolds is a classic right-handed lefty hitter. He wants to drop the barrel. So much better down in the zone.

Perez has been a godsend today.

Also at this point is the Mike Burrows hype growing outta control? This guy's next start could - maybe should - be in Pittsburgh.

Based on this guy's system, a team getting an advantage of +1 run is very rare.

Well over +2 twice in one day in favor of the same team?

Somebody needs to investigate this crew.

I think that series was a decent wakeup call about the true talent of the MLB team. The Reds are extremely bad, but they are basically interchangeable with us and the Cubs, and the final order will probably be anyone's guess.

One glimmer of good news is that Davis will move up to Altoona, which you would think puts him in a solid position to crack MLB next year. Cruz also cut down on the Ks this week, which is a small step in the right direction. The hits are falling and the top-of-the-line exit velocity is still there, so as long as he makes contact, he'll right the ship pretty quickly.

I think the most egregious thing right now is Contreras continuing to be down. Kranick actually looks intriguing in short bursts, but Contreras could have been called up for the doubleheader and then sent back to AAA as a roster move to gain some more days. I am not sure what the calculation is, but I think they are going to have to drag their feet with him "stretching out in AAA" for 3 more weeks or so in order to gain the extra year.

Contreras should be up. Burrows I think has also totally dominated and could make the leap.

Altogether more bad than good this year up and down the organization, and especially with the hitting.

Honestly I don't even think the Reds are even that bad on paper. I like their roster better than the Pirates roster, they have more top end talent between Stephenson, India, Votto, Mahle and Castillo. Mahle and Castillo are far better starters than anything the Pirates have right now, and India and Stephenson are great young players. They also have Greene and Lodolo coming up too.

I think they're just a bad team going through an incomprehensible run, just like the Pirates in 2019. They're not nearly as bad as their record during the stretch indicates.

Cole Tucker is a terrible contact hitter who only hits the ball hard at a 5° launch angle and who never walks.

Almost a full negative win below replacement level like a month into the season.

If only the Pirates had some sort of shortstop prospect with incredible power potential or something.

It literally doesn’t matter what Tucker is or isn’t doing. He’s a placeholder. When Cruz mashes AAA for a good stretch then he’ll be up
Castro is just below the level of forcing the issue, too. And Newman is out obviously. Tucker's days are numbered here.

Building that confidence takes time for some. Perez will get him there eventually IMO, but I won't expect consistency from Keller till the 2nd half, or maybe even next season.
