Part of it with Holderman is that he really shouldn't be pitching multiple innings like this. Taking Thompson out early worked for keeping the game close but we're gonna be in worse trouble tomorrow if Keller can't go 6+ and we will have to burn at least one more pitcher if we don't walk it off.

He was out by a ton but I like the risk there. 2 outs, better to gamble that they don't execute the play and he's in scoring position, because the fallback is that he's in scoring position with 0 outs and Reynolds batting in the 10th.
