Vogelbach gets an insane amount of bad calls against him. Not great from Suwinski there to get jammed, but that's what good pitchers do. I would have just green lit him 3-0.

It's been mentioned here before, but damn, never seen a guy get screwed more on balls and strikes calls than Vogelbach.

Pirates get no runs from that golden opportunity.

Really nice work by Keller to get out of that jam. I didn't know if that would be a double play, the Pirates looked like they were moving in slow motion there.

At least Keller isn't walking people (knock on wood). He gets hit pretty well though when he's not off the plate to his regular norm. Somehow he manages to get out of these jams. Doing a lot better in that regard. Gotta give him credit.

Great work from Keller so far today. Even though the Yankees have squared him up, he's still attacking and hitting his spots -- exactly what you want to see. If the command wanes, he'll be tagged for a crooked number quick, but so far, so good.

Yeah that 4th inning was something else, especially the movement he got on the 4-seam.

It's still a little bit wild to me that he needed Holmes' advice to really start leaning into the sinker, but things continue to be coming together for him. Some ups and downs are fine, and maybe he can turn in about 160-170 innings innings, which would push way over his career high from last year. He really hasn't even had a full blown year yet and is just barely 26, which is a prime year.

Even to some extent these starts where he was wild, clearly lacking command, but kept it together for some semblance of something decent represent steps forward for him. Overall it's been an encouraging season.
