Renfrow has gone from 6 catches per game to 3 last season and 1 so far this year. Used a high pick on a TE who has 2 targets and 1 catch through 3 games. Running game in shambles. Jimmy G more INT's this year than in 11 games last year. Owner can't afford to fire shitty coach.
Can't blow 2 td lead in 4th quarter of every other game if you can't score
It's confusing as the TE and Slot Receiver were the primary weapons Josh had to use while in NE for many seasons with Brady. Yet, last night, did a TE catch a pass aside from the 2 point one that Mayer caught? Renfrow with just 2 catches. Jimmy can't go deep. Most of the catches made by Adams/Meyers were them coming back inside, so is it congesting the field with the TE/Slot when the outside WR cut inside too?
Run game, not working.
Plus, look at how little contributions this regime is getting from their own draft picks. Gave up a 1 and 2 for Adams in 2022. Parham is a starting OG. White a backup RB. Dumped an DT to KC for a 6th round pick. The other DT, don't think he's playing. Munford is a backup OT, but got playing time last season.
This draft, took Wilson, knowing his injury and that this would hold him back this season. So, they need to truly love him and bank on his future since they don't get much from him being behind. Given the injury, I think getting a CB made more sense in Gonzalez. Mayer hasn't been used much. Young, don't think I've seen much from him. Tucker, no receptions in 3 games. Bennett the only rookie contributor really.
Regime needed a Seattle type draft that they nailed in 2022. Mafe, Walker, Lucas, Bryant, Woolen as contributors. DE, RB, OT, CB, CB.
