Yeah but no breakdown of what their trade deal would look like which is completely worthless. Put a package together coward. Cleveland has no cap room. So need picks.
Mock draft has Raiders jumping to #2 and picking QB.
Should have been announced with Pierce. But that’s Mark Davis for you.
Anyone but Mark being invoked is a good thing. Feel for TT.Minority owner leading search. Tom Brady.
Now if Davis would just keep his hands off football ops once there is a good team in place.

Like I see some posters on social media blame TT for Kliff, but to me there is no reason why TY would not have given him that 3rd year. Not his money. Kliff extended with Az for 5 years in 2022. Thus at a minimum he was signed to 2027 season. Which would be year 3 of his LV OC deal if he wanted it. Plus, I doubt he doubled dipped as AZ would pay him only the difference between his AZ salary and what LV was paying him.
Clearly TT did not get. A QB. No chance at Daniels as some of the social media would think. Not a chance Wash was running it back with Sam Howell at QB.
If TT and LV staffed loved Penix then they should have found a way to make a deal. Most likely team to swap would have been Titans as they took OL so could have flipped and still had Fuaga on the board.
No other veteran was worth the trouble. Getsy wasn’t going to save Darnold like KOC did.
But I doubt Johnson would sign in LV. Even though this year’s cycle of options isn’t great from an ownership POV. Chi and NE have QB potential and some talent but ownership not as confident in. Kraft not held in the same regard as he used to when he had Brady.Take Johnson at 6 and bpa for all of the picks. Sign a veteran to go with AOC and try to build the best team you can, none of these young quarterback prospects appear to be worth spending multi picks acquiring. If they can get Darnold and Ben Johnson this could turn around quick.

Raiders might have that edge over other suitors, but lack QB which other clubs have. I get his concern with Chicago as he doesn't want to end up like the TEN situation. Same with NE.I heard he wants control of the organizational alignment and that firing Telesco had something to do with trying to be more appealing to top candidates. We would hand over control to him in a way I don't think any of the other openings have signaled they would.
A lot of QBs these days are only 2 year starters, like Maye, Williams (got some action as a true FR over Rattler), and McCarthy. So, pretty hard to project a couple of the other guys from 2026 who only have 1 year of starting experience. Stroud, Young, Levis also 2 year starters. Same with Fields (more like 1.5 due to Covid year). The Raiders trading up to get Sanders and then see him turn into a locker room cancer and is shipped out in year 3 after 3 consecutive 4 win seasons would be textbook Raiders.
Ward is from my school and if he went to the Raiders I sadly would have to start rooting for the Raiders.
I believe the Raiders should not trade for McCarthy or sign Darnold if he hits free agency, but after the season he just had, any team that needs a QB will make an offer so the Raiders should wait for next year's draft class which is much deeper at the QB position in amount of QBs that are likely to get 1st round grades.
While I believe QBs with more starts in college tend to do better as a pro, if you are projected to be a 1st round draft pick or really anywhere in the 1st round especially as a QB then you should go pro and not risk your career to injury or having a bad season.A lot of QBs these days are only 2 year starters, like Maye, Williams (got some action as a true FR over Rattler), and McCarthy. The 26 class has guys who are more athletic than in 25, but have to see how they perform next season. Again, for Manning, I don't see him declaring as a 1 year starter who would have say 15/16 games of starting experience in college at the end of 2025 season. If he was that eager to get to the NFL, he'd have transferred to be a starter in 2024. Think he plays the long game and gets his 2 years as a starter at Texas before going for 2027, in which he'd be in competition with Riola from NB.
I agree that if you are rated to go high then go. If you do have the luxury to stay and get the experience you need could very well be worth it. Peyton stayed another season too back in the day. For arch is about 15/16 total starts going to be enough for him to succeed in the nfl? Up to him but I do feel he will play the long game and stick around in 2026.While I believe QBs with more starts in college tend to do better as a pro, if you are projected to be a 1st round draft pick or really anywhere in the 1st round especially as a QB then you should go pro and not risk your career to injury or having a bad season.
Manning is projected to be the top overall pick and he would have to play pretty badly or have a major injury to tumble out of the 1st round. His father's football career was derailed by injury so he not want to play another year in college as he would not have anything to gain. Only if he has a brutal season next year or is injured, then he should return for his senior season.
The Raiders should have drafted a QB last season and other than trading up for Ward or Sanders, no other QB will be drafted in the first round so it looks like they will have to wait another year to draft a qb unless they want to gamble on Milroe in the 2nd or 3rd round.
Next year has 4 to 5 QBs that are predicted to go in the 1st round so I'd expect the raiders to solve their QB problem at that time

As for raiders, the rumour was they wanted Penix. Only team to really trade with was Ten who took OT Latham with the pick before Atl.
I wouldn’t trade up for one of these 2 QBs. I wouldn’t consider taking them if one of them fell to 6. Not a fan of just taking a QB on Day 2 unless you believe in them. In that you do plan on starting them at some point in either years 1 or 2 and give them a run of games. Seen too many of Trask, Mond, Mills, Willis, Carrol, Ridder who go day 2 and don’t amount to anything. Better off just taking a position player unless you truly believe they can be a starter for your team.
Time will tell how the projected 26 class of QBs fare. Many that were rated to go round 1 before the college season drop out of it in prior years.
Riveria qualifies as a Minority Candidate as well. But, best to get multiple people to provide their assessment of the team/roster. Hopefully, they point out that the Raiders are missing pieces, thus can't give up the package CAR did to move up to draft Young in order to get a QB in this draft (most likely CLE being the trade target).
HC candidate in town for interview
