FAQ seems like a very thin skinned guy. If RD did anything on Twitter related to the accusations of child abuse, it’s not hard to imagine him directing the club to fire her.

No time for the Doerrie Coulter comparison.

Would be very surprised if she liked this tweet while remaining actively employed here.

Now we need her to expose what went down. This can only get worse for CSE/Aqua if true, lol.

If she really did give that a like and Aquillini found out then yeah not a surprise(the fact he found out that quick is kinda bizarre though).

This is super weird, especially with the reports earlier this month that she'd received a small promotion onto the coaching staff's video team for challenges etc.

But the push-pull with Doerrie was always that she was obviously super-smart, but also a loose cannon so I wouldn't be totally shocked if she did something to shoot herself in the foot.

This would be a total non-story, though, if it was any of the hundreds of other people around the NHL in her job/role.

I mean, the reality of the industry is that it's a super small, closed-off "schmoozy" club with a lot of out of control egos...and at the end of the day, it's a hugely collaborative process. It's one thing to have "different ideas"...it's another to challenge or spurn superiors on it. It's one thing to float a "different idea", it's another thing to refuse to pull the cart in the same direction the rest of the "team" has chosen.

It's a kind of ugly reality of the business...but it is what it is. It's not unique to hockey either. Hopefully there's an opportunity out there for her somewhere that better aligns with her vision of things. That's also a huge part of the business. You've got opportunities where management teams are led by very "analytics focused" people, who tend to surround themselves with similar/like-minded individuals. Maybe that would be a better fit for her, and everyone is happier for it. It's an insanely difficult business to break into though, without some lucky breaks and pre-existing connections.

It’s bad PR both ways.

The PR for her would be far worse, one would imagine. Two quick exits from NHL organizations.

Don’t believe she would be able to drop any bombshells due to NDAs anyways?

No. This like happened this morning, within the last hour.

Dhaliwal reported he heard murmurs of her being let go last night when responding to Taylor’s question.

Sort of off topic.

If I worked for a professional sports team or in any kind of public role, every so often I would just delete parts of my bio just to stir up controversy.

Put it back in a few days etc. Fans, especially in Vancouver, are all over that kind of thing.

As much as I like Doerrie’s hiring, this was incredibly dumb

He could have someone scanning Twitter to monitor his reputation and perhaps look for libellous statements for potential lawsuits. Or some random lowlife could have ratted her out.

Again, Dhaliwal said he heard the rumors YESTERDAY. This like happened in the past hour.

I agree but her actions continue to show she does not care too much about how she’s perceived. Liking that tweet and leaving your Twitter public is not unintentional. Yeah we probably wont get bombshells straight from her though

Interesting, I wonder if this was more job-related than personal then and she liked the tweet today out of spite. I doubt we ever hear anything anyway, Rutherford will probably just say something like "she's no longer a member of our staff" or something along those lines

If you can't hold down a job for at least a year, I doubt she gets another opportunity with an NHL team.

No different than anyone of us. companies will look past a short stint on your resume, but if you have 8 jobs in 5 years, that's kind of a red flag that they don't want to spend the money and time to train you only for you to leave in a few months.

One bad fit on your resume won't hurt you. But, if you end up with 3 or 4 stints that are under 6 months that are not contracts, it's not a positive sign to a company that you are going to last with them.

Not surprised. When they announced she was moving to essentially a Video Coach/Assistant the writing was already on the wall.

Lol how? Even under Green the coaching and Analytics dept. Had a close relationship.

The coaching role was in addition to her other role.

She was just hired and they're already transferring her? Sounds like there wasn't a fit. Its really not that hard to understand.

Given she was being trotted out by the organization in her new role only a week ago, it seems if true it likely would have been due to something that happened recently. Given the coincident timing with the Aquilini news, hard not to make the connection even if not related to the liked tweet.

The news broke yesterday around 5ish? So she may very well have voiced her opinion on the subject and then been fired.

I’m having a bit of a crises here. I want to support my home team but it gets harder and harder to hand my money over to this ownership. Pretty serious allegations. I imagine there may be a few employees having a hard time with this latest news.

I have already commented on if the issue was work related. If it is because of using a public account, to 'like' a tweet that slags her employer's owner, then it shows poor judgement. She may also have been asked to remove the like, and refused to do so. People can have their opinion on sensitive topics but keep it in-house, unless you want to make enemies. Millennials seem to have a need to 'like' a lot on social media.

My co-workers and I slag our employer all the time but I don't have a need to do so publicly, where it can be traced back to me.

Employees that have a hard time with this could look for another job.

I have also worked for lousy companies before but when I Slag the company it’s verbally with friends and coworkers who won’t rat me out. I don’t write it and post it where it can be traced back to me.

Last company I worked for clearly knew who wrote a glassdoor review based on location and position and proceeded to "quite firing" as a means to get rid of him.

For what it's worth, Doerrie's Linked in page still indicates that she works for the Canucks.
