Quinn Hughes Mega thread: Top in points, Norris consideration, MVP and Canucks fans hearts

Has had a few off games but outside of that he's been an absolute monster.

His skating is actually video game like, as others have mentioned.

I haven't watched enough of the league to say anything definitive but based on his numbers and where the Canucks are in the standings, has to be an early MVP candidate.

If the Canucks trade for some 2nd pairing help, he'll probably be even better because it'll lighten his load.

Hughes has been incredible but I think Miller could end up splitting votes with him.

Miller has been just as valuable to the Canucks, dominating on both ends of the ice.

That being said, the Hart is looking wide open with McDavid having a slow start, and the Norris is going to be very interesting with both Hughes and Makar racking up the points.

I think it's actually fair to argue that Miller has been just as good as Hughes, but when it comes to awards, narrative plays a big role and Hughes has the hype train going on for sure right now.

For sure.

Being named captain and then elevating his play like this? It's one hell of a story.

Not to mention that the Hughes' name is becoming pretty well-known thanks in part to the hot start that Jack had.

Just a treat watching him skate. His goal tonight wasn't a spectacular example of what he's capable of doing, but representative of how effortlessly he can shake defenders.

And Kenny holland drafted Zadina instead of Hughes. Holland leaving a trail of disasters everywhere

At least Zadina was ranked in the top-5 by most. Montreal and Arizona went off the board with picks that should have gone 5 -10 spots lower. And if Hughes was 2 inches taller and 10 pounds heavier, no one would be arguing that Dahlin is a better D than Hughes.

If quinn Hughes wins the Norris, at 5’10, he would be the shortest Norris winner since Randy Carlyle 5’10 in 1981

i dont see the need to include Dahlin; he is on a much worse team thats been inept in many ways before the last season or two

I literally felt like a Jehovah's Witness on here trying to spread the word of Quinn over the last 3 years.

If you read through my post history, I stated like an absolute lunatic that Quinn Hughes might be the best hockey player in the world in the not-too-distant future. Right now, at this particular moment - he is the best player in the game today.

He was always neck-and-neck with Cale Makar, and it's crazy how few people realized that.
