Jason Robertson has 365 points in 347 NHL Games and I feel like people don't know he even exists

In fantasy hockey circles he was at the top of everyone's 'disappointments' list in December with 15 points in his first 26 games, but has now picked up the pace. I think had he started the season off strong, he'd be talked about more as by my recollection he had shaken the 'quiet' title coming into the season and had high expectations. I think the slow start brought him back down to that level again.

As good as KFC is at putting up points, Josh Morrissey is probably the answer for the Jets. Top-10 D-man in the league that puts up good points, has terrific skating, defends extremely well, and nobody talks about him. Seriously, search “Morrissey” in any of the 4NC game day threads and his name doesn’t pop up outside of the roster announcements. The fact that you don’t notice him means he isn’t making mistakes, but he knows where to pass to set up offence. Scary good stealth player.

Homer pick, but I'll say Brayden Point.

Maybe NOW some people are coming around to seeing how much this guy drives his team's offense, and when he isn't going well, the rest of the team seems to follow those doldrums.

Big names thrown about all the time as 'star power' and production machine names, McDavid, Crosby, MacKinnon, Kucherov, Kane and Malkin in their prime, Draisaitl, Ovechkin for instance...and all deserved, but Brayden Point falls right in there with them.

And Point will make it into the HHOF when his career is done.
Point "falls right in" with Crosby, McDavid and OV?

Mo is always the top guy outside of the top guys which makes him ignored. Every year it’s been Makar, fox now it’s Hughes Makar, who rightfully deserve the recognition, but, if you go one or 2 guys down Morrissey’s name is always in top d in terms of o and D.

But it’s not a competition between mo and kc and kc is also definitely up there. Near top of league in points, finally adds d, but, no one would call him a top 15 winger. Even on jets, page, in the past it has generally been Ehlers getting the love.

This season? Matt Duchene :sarcasm:

He's straight up taking over games at times this season.

This is the definition of Jason Robertson though. You could watch the whole game and not realize he played and then check the box score and he has 3 points. Quietly a guy who makes a lot happen with smart little plays all over the ice. He led the NHL in points over a month span after Xmas and I think even us Stars fans didn't realize how many points he was racking up. Closed a huge gap on Duchene, who was still producing as well

Pastrnak doesnt get talked about enough for how great he is. You can pencil him in for Top 5 in goals and points each year on a team that is brutal offensively. He's also a hat trick machine with 20 in his career

2023: 61-52-113, 61 goals was 127% more than 2nd best on the team and 113 pts was 69% more
2024: 47-63-110, 47 goals was 38% more than 2nd best on the team and 110 pts was 64% more
2025: 28-40-68, 28 goals is 40% more than 2nd best on the team and 68 pts is 54% more

But he's a relatively quiet and unassuming guy so that contributes to the quiet

Said this many times before but the way people talk about John Carlson you'd think he was a slightly better version of DeAngelo or Ghostisbehere and not a borderline HoFer that's still a top 15 D in the league even at 35yo

Another vote for Kyle Connor.

I think for the past 5 years, Connor scores at least one against us every game.
I'm conditioned to think we're need to get 3 past Hellebyuck, or we aren't winning because Connor will score at least one.

The only other time I feel like this, are ex-Oilers.

Former Oilers absolutely kill us. Even Nail Yakupov scored an insane end to end, goal against us. Dylan Holloway has 2 in 2 games.

Kyle Connor gives me this feeling of dread that he's a former Oiler.

With regards to being mentioned as 'stars' in the NHL? Absolutely.
But because many DON'T, he is mentioned in this thread as a 'quiet star'. See?

And when his career is over and done with, barring some dibilitating injury well before that, his numbers should be quite worthy of mention with those names as well.
