Homer pick, but I'll say Brayden Point.

Maybe NOW some people are coming around to seeing how much this guy drives his team's offense, and when he isn't going well, the rest of the team seems to follow those doldrums.

Big names thrown about all the time as 'star power' and production machine names, McDavid, Crosby, MacKinnon, Kucherov, Kane and Malkin in their prime, Draisaitl, Ovechkin for instance...and all deserved, but Brayden Point falls right in there with them.

And Point will make it into the HHOF when his career is done.

I think people know how good Point is, unless they've been sleeping through Tampa's Cup runs.

Same could be said for Guentzel too, to a lesser extent. IMO this thread is about guys who haven't been able to show their stuff in the playoffs much and are unheralded star players in the league.

Keller/Thomas/Bratt are great names. Kyle Connor too. I'll also throw out Konecny and Larkin -who just got a little louder.

I keep hearing people talk about how the Wings will never win with Raymond being our best forward, yet he’s 19th in scoring at 22 years old

Love how under the radar he is for the most part, he just goes about his game and is really is a difference maker in almost every game he plays in whether that be in the NHL or international play.

I think Seider would have had a coming out party if Germany was a part of the tournament also. Stat checkers like to look at his production and think he isn't producing enough to be a game breaker, could not be further from the truth.

A fun and interesting thread that provides an opportunity to talk about all bunch of under appreciated and lesser recognized talents but you LOSERS have to bring up Marner and Matthews.

I’ll add Hintz to the list, seems like everyone else on Dallas gets talked about before him.

I was going to say Brayden Point as well. The only thing he's missing is some kind of intangible star power which I can't figure out if it has something to do with him being on the Lightning, overshadowed on the Lightning or just a personality that doesn't lend itself to hype.

Connor’s not a bad answer. Scheifele and Hellebuyck get the attention on Winnipeg but Connor is frequently the most noticeable player on the ice when I watch him. He’s had a couple years near the top of the leaderboards, including this one, but doesn’t get a lot of attention when he does. Maybe I’m biased cuz he tends to kill Vancouver though (25-15-20-35 against them)

Kyle Connor seems to be a good answer. He's been doing it for a few years now and you still don't really hear his name that much.

Its not just that he's in an isolated market. I've heard alot of Laine, byfuglien, schiefle buzz than I ever had heard about Connor.

I love how Kyle Connor is under-the-radar everyone else lol. Even though he's in a difference conference, he absolutely terrorizes us Habs fans. The beginning of every GDT against the Jets is bascially "I wonder how many goals Meth Jesus will score against us today?" (back when he had longer hair)

I think he has like 26 points in 22 games against the Habs, which seems to be his 3rd-highest PPG against any team besides Vancouver and St. Louis.
