Win or lose this German team should be going home proud of how they performed in this tournament with everything that happened before the tournament to the 16-2 Canada game. A lot of character in that group and a good coach to keep their heads in it after the start they had. I mean having arguably the best player in the tournament helps a bit to I guess.

I gotta get off my chest something I wanted to for a week or so: I don't get why people say Askarov is the best goalie prospect since Price. To me it was Vasilevski. One could argue Vasi was the best junior goalie since Tretiak. Askarov is so flawed technically, it's mind boggling. If not for his athleticism, he shouldn't have been taken in the 1st round last year.
