I am not trying to complain or anything, but is it only me who noticed that judges are being a bit biased towards Russians compare to other teams? I swear they miss so many calls on Russian players but yet give every call whenever a Russian player does something... And not just todays game by the way but most of the tournament

On a team like Germany? They are actually good. The German top line is deadly and I'm just happy Russian D didn't have any terrible mistakes. Take a look at the poll with the quarterfinal predictions and check how many people thought Germany could pull the upset.

Germany may be good defensively but they only have 2 guys who can score.

Yes, it's because Canadians hate Russians.

Just look back at last year. Used an excuse of puck hitting a broadcasting camera on the way out the rink to rip them off of a deserved PP in the clutch of a GMG. That was terrible.

I dont think its all that different from other countries TBH but I think it would be odd to NOT have homer announcers in an international competition.

As far as Russia hate goes, if you think TSN is singling out Russia, you should wear it as a badge of honour. Maybe it means you've wounded us pretty bad in the past. ;)

I think all that felt worse as they were falling over themselves to make excuses for the German keeper on the second Russian goal.

That was meant as a compliment I think. Button wouldn't discuss how Askarov would fare in the NHL right now unless he thought he was an NHL ready prospect. He is just being more critical the better the prospect is, which makes sense.

Yeah, he's not making very good decisions. He's trying to do too much on his own, often not using his teammates.
