On TSN they said 36 million Russians watched the Gold medal against Canada last year at the WJC, it was the most watched sporting event in Russia in 2020. The number is probably even higher with people who watch it via streams as well.

I wouldn't say Germany is good. They are okay, they can tread water while waiting for their top line to drag them kicking and screaming over the finish line.
