It's revealing how there is zero chatter on Drouin.
Even if he is signed by someone or gets a tryout he’s not the type people will be rushing for. If there is some interest in him I don’t see it till end of summer unless he doesn’t even wait and leaves for Europe ASAP. If he wants to he can easily get nhl tryout.

The lack of rumors today has been boring lol.. oh well, maybe make for a more interesting/fun day tomorrow? I seem to remember that last year at this time, we pretty much knew where everyone was signing already thanks to Kevin Weekes!

Points are not why Walcott is interesting.

Even since Baddock/Pezzetta left Laval, they had no regular player that could play a tough game. Walcott does that. The points are a bonus.
That's fair then.

Also hell f***ing no to Colin White

I'll be pissed if they let go all of Belzile, Richard and Teasdale, a year after doing the same with Dea, Ouellet and Dauphin. Why is it so hard to keep the best Laval players? Especially after the 21-22 playoffs run? Why can't we keep the same proven group of veteran players/leaders every year to surround the kids with? And somehow, we find a way to retain Michell Stephens?

Sadly I would take Duchene in a heartbeat if he'd sign a 1 or 2 year deal

Caufield-Suzuki-Duchene
Slafkovsky-Dach-Anderson
Newhook-Monahan-Armia
RHP-Dvorak-Gallagher
Hoffman/Evans/Pitlick/Pez

Obviously still need to trade some dead weight

Good chance Duchene would be very interested in a 1 year deal to play for his favourite team and cash when cap goes up. Just don’t know if Hughes is interested

He was interested to come to Montreal, but Nashville went nuts with the $$

Maybe now , around 3 million ...i would do it ..even if someone has to go.

Yeah he used the Habs as a leverage to get more money out of Nashville. No thanks

Nashville's former GM really wanted him bad...he sorta went overboard.

Getting D-Lo back from philly could be an option, if Briere can eat a bit of that contract. I'd be happy with that. He can even help out some on the PK.
Retention on a 1.75 mil contract?
You are funny.
You dont want Nic on your pk if you are looking for a few more wins.

Sometimes it's more what they are asking for/what they wants to do. Both Belzile and Richard were said to be looking for permanent NHL roster spot with one-way contracts and are UFAs. The Habs might have gave them an offer, but they don't have to accept it...and they aren't getting that spot on the NHL roster with the amount of forwards already signed for the Habs.

Stephens is a RFA.

Could be a boring Day
As the draft was
For sure. No big ticket free agents. No cap space.

Free Agent frenzy is slow moving and boring even when there's a prized class of UFAs. I recommend everyone go out and enjoy Canada Day festivities or do something relaxing or somewhat productive.
