Why are we suggesting depth players
It's like 90% of this roster are depth players

Duchene was their 2nd best pts wise and put up 43g-43a 2 years ago it has to be off ice issues.
It’s all we know. Why are we suggesting depth players

Even if he is signed by someone or gets a tryout he’s not the type people will be rushing for. If there is some interest in him I don’t see it till end of summer unless he doesn’t even wait and leaves for Europe ASAP. If he wants to he can easily get nhl tryout. It's revealing how there is zero chatter on Drouin.
That's fair then.Points are not why Walcott is interesting.
Even since Baddock/Pezzetta left Laval, they had no regular player that could play a tough game. Walcott does that. The points are a bonus.
It will be. The only things we will see is Laval building their vet Corps, Hughes possibly moving some contracts. Habs have way too many forwards and Dmen to add more.Could be a boring Day
As the draft was
One of the best fourth liners in the league who will probably not be paid like a fourth liner. He produces but has his limitsDaniel Sprong not qualified?? He had 46 points in 66 games. WTF

Yeah, but I mean, he was at minimum salary already lol I don't know, I find this surprisingOne of the best fourth liners in the league who will probably not be paid like a fourth liner. He produces but has his limits

And then flip him at the deadlineGood chance Duchene would be very interested in a 1 year deal to play for his favourite team and cash when cap goes up. Just don’t know if Hughes is interested
Yeah he used the Habs as a leverage to get more money out of Nashville. No thanksGood chance Duchene would be very interested in a 1 year deal to play for his favourite team and cash when cap goes up. Just don’t know if Hughes is interested
He was interested to come to Montreal, but Nashville went nuts with the $$Good chance Duchene would be very interested in a 1 year deal to play for his favourite team and cash when cap goes up. Just don’t know if Hughes is interested

Retention on a 1.75 mil contract?Getting D-Lo back from philly could be an option, if Briere can eat a bit of that contract. I'd be happy with that. He can even help out some on the PK.
Sometimes it's more what they are asking for/what they wants to do. Both Belzile and Richard were said to be looking for permanent NHL roster spot with one-way contracts and are UFAs. The Habs might have gave them an offer, but they don't have to accept it...and they aren't getting that spot on the NHL roster with the amount of forwards already signed for the Habs.I'll be pissed if they let go all of Belzile, Richard and Teasdale, a year after doing the same with Dea, Ouellet and Dauphin. Why is it so hard to keep the best Laval players? Especially after the 21-22 playoffs run? Why can't we keep the same proven group of veteran players/leaders every year to surround the kids with? And somehow, we find a way to retain Michell Stephens?
For sure. No big ticket free agents. No cap space.Could be a boring Day
