I wanted Olivier if CB didn't resign him and now I'd like Lucic or Reaves on the 4h line to protect all the young guys.
I don't want Arber fighting for the first 40 games after shoulder surgery.
that being said, all the old age goons are going to sign with teams that give them a chance at winning

Lucic is apparently going to Bruins. Reaves to Toronto.

Reaves is a decent possibility IMO. We're going to have a pretty balanced top 9, so we could play the 4th line a lot less and keep a guy like him around 10-11 minutes a game, which would be optimal.
agreed. I know he's a lunatic, but it would be fun to have him and pezz on 4th line and Wifi on the backend.
I just don't see how they can go into the season playing Gallagher, newhook, caufield and RHP in the top 9 - let alone adding Farrell in there.
i thought we got away from the smurf label
:(

I’m surprised we didn’t buy out Hoffman. What’s his purpose on this team? He’s just taking up a roster spot.
People think we will get something for him at TDL which I find hilarious. The book on Hoffman when we got him was PP specialist and not much more.
Meanwhile I think he has something like 6 goals total on the PP since we've signed him. Time to move on.

Duchene was their 2nd best pts wise and put up 43g-43a 2 years ago it has to be off ice issues.

Duchene is a speedster type who’d fit MSLs system quite flawlessly…just saying

Not holding my breath at all anymore. Habs need some toughness. And scoring. And talent. And we’re getting neither.

The facts that burrows is back is also very telling.

They really should’ve bought out Armia and Hoffman. Inexplicably passive so far.

Buying low on Duchane and Pacioretty would’ve been a hugely aggressive move

Sigh.
We aren't planning on being competitive anyways so what's the point?

That being said, a lineup of:

Pacioretty-Suzuki-CC
Newhook-Dach-Anderson
Slaf-Monahan-Gally
RHP-Evans-Ylonen

Matheson-Mayfield
Guhle-Savard
Xhekaj-Barron

Would be fun to watch

The point is to move them at the trade deadline.

The moves were Monahan and - Newhook once Cheveldayoff wanted to take Hughes to the woodshed.
They need to move bodies tomorrow - maybe Dvorak, maybe Hoffman, maybe Edmundson.
Is there a deal for anderson? at this point, that might be ill-advised with the glut of small wingers on the team.
Can they facilitate a trade with cap?
