Game not over though wonder if Dallas has any juice left or if Debour is gonna be stubborn still making adjustments. Next goal if there is one is huge. Either a dagger goal for oilers but if Dallas scores just one, they are gonna do everything to try and get the next one. One of the reasons why 2-0 lead going into 3rd can be the worst sometimes.

Oilers looked great vs LA and great this series but Vancouver was a different animal I’m starting to think. Much better than they got credit for.

There might be something to the rumor's that the whole team was sick for a good chunk of that series. It's starting to kind of make sense. Obviously Vancouver deserves credit for their defensive play as well.

Theres no panic in the Oilers game so far. They are calmly and coolly playing a near perfect Zone D and are interrupting Dallas and limiting the HDC. Dallas isn't doing anything with the puck in the Oilers zone.

It is 100% a dangerous game to play and I wish they played more aggressive. However, Theres only 20 minutes left., so I doubt the Oilers will abandon this strategy. Even though Dallas can't score when the Oilers have the puck in Ozone.

Dallas is not dominating this game as some people think. There are being thwarted very effectively by strong team D. I don't think posters here can reconcile that the Oilers are playing great D.

they’ve looked good defensively but part of the reason for the shot difference is because they just dump the puck in and sit back. I get they have the lead but they look like they’re taking this strategy too far. The last game they won they were still getting ozone time and creating some chances. The best defence is to not let the puck be in the dzone

Most people didn't. Their play has elevated significantly since round 2. Both those teams looked closer to average than contender while Dallas looked to have totally figured things out. Edmonton elevated while Dallas looks gassed and unfocused.

McDavid with space is lethal. McDavid without space is the same as most hockey players. Nobody can dangle through guys 100% of the time.

Vancouver was the perfect example of showing when aggressive they neutered the pp. Unfortunately for them they just took most of the series to figure that out lol

You obviously don’t watch any Oilers hockey. McDavid 1 on 1 on the power play is more dangerous. It’s actually when they sit back and let him shoot he becomes neutered as this year his injury is not allowing him to shoot.

Dallas is playing for their lives and fully expected them to carry the play tonight if not their complete team is a farce, Oilers need to forecheck heavily in the 3rd and execute on odd-man rushes which they'll have if still 2-0 with 10 min to go

Need more shots. Yes up 2. But god damn. You cant win games with 8 shots in 2 periods.

Rather have 8 shots and 2 goals then 30 shots and none Dallas is playing desperate hockey for them it's do or die probably gonna face another flurry of even more aghockey in the 2rd but hopefully that will open up areas of mistakes. They for the most part have kept Dallas away or from getting the high danger shot too the net and when it does get through Skinner has made the save. Wonder what the tank will look for for the stars in the third and what kind of game the Oilers will play. This game is far from over still have 20 mins left to play
