I never said Dallas would destroy Edmonton. The Oilers are where they are for reason but The Pathers right now are a much better team than Dallas, Have Stanley Cup experince and just are at a higher level than the Stars and Oilers.

The confidence from Oilers fans about the Vancouver series gave me a bad feeling in my gut. I expected a loss tbh.

I'll admit that I dismissed Vancouver and that it was a rude awakening. The additions were a bigger deal than I thought, especially Lindholm finding himself, which I should have expected.

Man. The Canucks played awesome. They weren’t given a chance and were written off in “4 or 5” by so many.

The 3rd stringer came in and played like a #1. You had a #1 center play less than good.

The Canucks will be back next season. I hope they have success.

And even though I hate the Oilers team, I respect the talent from a few players, and honestly, I have a bit of a soft spot for people in Edmonton treated me extremely well when I was over there, really nice folk.

We joke around, but Petrovic really does not belong on an NHL roster.

Deboer essentially going 5 D and then completely shunning Lundkvist for Petrovic was a coaching blunder. Overworked the 5 D for no reason and took a badly needed offensive weapon off the ice.

Imo watching those games, both Florida and New York were quite sloppy compared to this series

I'd say it's hard to quantify Florida and Edmonton. A good benchmark would be the 2022 championship Avalanche. Just a perfect team on paper that just needed good goaltending. I don't think Florida is on that level. Edmonton is weird too though. Like, what is what is Bouchard?
