I think Chytil winds up at 4C. Vlad at 3C. Strome at 2C.

I think the final team looks like this:

Bread-Zibby-Buch
Kreider-Strome-Kakko
Lemieux-Howden-Chytil
Namestnikov-Andersson-Fast
McKegg

Skjei-Trouba
Staal-DeAngelo
Hajek-Fox
Smith

Lundqvist
Georgiev

Have to swap Lias and Strome — if we’re going by training camp / preseason.

Most enjoyable parts were seeing 2 Islanders collide and tangle up, leading to ADA goal, also nice seeing couple of islanders go flying missing the hits on Lemieux, and Cizikas go flying at the end was enjoyable too, other than that I wish we had even 25% of Islanders' team physicality and grit. Our young players are so soft. I still don't see why they decided to keep Howden, they should have packaged him in a trade.

The good news is that Namestnikov is playing great. Andersson is finding a role for himself. Have no idea why Lettieri is still here

I'm very frustrated with his lack of progress.

Andersson has warts (probably more warts) but he's very evidently worked on weaknesses.
Skill versus determination. One of our most successful eras was built around highly determined — though not particularly skilled — players. One of our darkest eras featured supremely skilled, but often complacent, rosters.

What happened to Kravtsov?
Near the end of the game he was going down and collided with Fox's skate. Looks like Fox's skate/boot made contact with Kravtsov's collarbone area. Probably was stunned. could have been scary if Fox cut him

I'm not aboard the Strome whipping, not really sure how that started but he was really good for us last year, kills penalties can play pp. I agree Lias outplayed him but with vets they arent really 100% in preseason.

Hopefully Kravtsov is okay.

Is it just me or was Lias doing everything at 150% speed out there? Not just skating but his puck handling, passing, decision making and board play. It all looked super fast to me compared to what I’ve seen from him in the past. I’m super excited to see him in the regular season.

I know Kravtsov is likely to start in Hartford but if they’re playing wing, frankly he looked better than Chytil at wing. And Howden looked worse than Lias so he should be 4c.

Chytil should play a center if he get sent down - I don`t like him at the wing at all. Kravtsov should get 3rd line wing minutes, Fast on 4th line.

I really don’t understand and completely disagree with your theory that he doesn’t care
Fair enough; I respect your standpoint. I just don’t see any intensity in him. Nor do I see an upgrade from last year — in strength, speed, mental agility ... nothing.

It started because he shot 22% last year. Take that away and he had some of the worst underlying numbers in the league.

In 12 months we've already forgotten how Spooner turned out.

True. I’m just excited to see the players develop.

Everyone was gushing about it after his first preseason game, I just think he’s not thinking the game fast enough

Don’t you find that troubling? In preseason games no less. What happens when we introduce the intensity and speed of regular season, or postseason, games?
