I have more of a problem with the scheduling than the West Coast trip itself.

The Rangers had almost a week off with no games before this trip. That's way too long a layoff during the preseason when players need to be cut and lines need to be finalized. There are still important personnel decisions to be made and the lines are far from solidified with only 2 preseason games remaining.

Would've preferred Zucc to the left on the top line, but then the 2nd line may be too weak. Hopefully Brassard can become a play driving player such as Stepan, Hagelin, and Zuccarello.

Also, poor Fast having to play with Moore and Powe. It will be hard for that line to get anything going. The same goes for Miller with Boyle and Dorsett. Would've preferred Boyle-Miller-Fast and Powe-Moore-Dorsett.

The left side is just sad, and I would have Miller on the 3rd line over Powe.

I am already waiting for the surprise post game comments about Richards resurgence. And once again a vast majority will be dumbfounded as regards to the why.

that 2ed line does not look good at all at least on paper... lets hope Powe and or Pyatt is getting showcased and the Pyatt AV lovefest continues from those Canucks days.

It's not that bad. Pouliot is a natural LWer but MZA can just as easily play on the left side. He did so last year. Fast and Miller can play both sides.

I highly doubt Powe has any trade value whatsoever. He has waived over the summer and there was no interest and I have a feeling that may be the case again.

I think there would be more interest now.
Start of the summer, teams are still hoping they can sign someone like Moore. Now, the good free agents are gone, and teams have to look elsewhere for those players.
