It will be interesting to see how Lettieri does in Hartford this season. He strikes me as the type that could be a very good AHL player. Would be a benefit to our defensive prospects down there to have a competent team this season.

Bereglazov is simply uninspiring on North American ice. I think the skating issue which prevented his being drafted is going to make him a career Euro defender. Imagine he'll drop in our prospect rankings bigly.

Great game for DeAngelo though. Hopefully NYR can find a way to use both him and Shattenkirk to their full effect.

With the top 4 D more or less filled, DeAngelo playing well (that is 5) and Staal and Holden around (7)...

Pionk should have plenty of fun in the AHL, wouldn't rule out him joining the NYR later in the season

Oh well, we had some chances in the end there, but we could not finish plays.
And not sure what happen with Chytil for almost 10 minutes in the last period.

Exactly nothing.

He left for a line change earlier than his line mates once. He was reunited with them the next time out there.

I thought Bereglazov was more noticable in a good way in the 3rd. But as a Stay Home Guy. Not flashy but Pretty effective. Lets see after Another game

Yeah I want to see him with a parter other than Kampfer.

He made plenty of mistakes with the puck on his stick in this one but I thought his game in his own end was pretty solid.

Stromwall has been very noticeable and in a good way IMO but I know nothing about him.
411 anyone?
Sam said he had a bum ankle all of last season to contribute to his poor showing.
As stated by another poster, this season should paint a clearer picture.

I was working so I wasn't able to watch the game or see who scored
Who scored for us and who assisted? And can anyone tell me how LA and Chytil did and how everyone else was? Thank you in advance

I thought Bereglazov and Kampfer both were pretty good. I noticed Bereglazov stays out of the goalies eyeline well too. Who knows. I'm no expert.

Kinda could only half watch the second half of the game.

Actually thought it looked like Bereglazov settled in. Dunno, I liked his skating from what I saw, seems smooth for a big guy. Didn't see him have to try to win many races to the puck. I'm not sure he's NHL ready or how fast he'll adapt but I think I see some good potential there especially as a solid anchor for the 3rd pairing with someone like DeAngelo (not this year but in a general sense).

Impressive thing about Chytil is that he jumped in and the game doesn't look too fast for him. Just turned 18 and he's controlling the puck and making plays in tight spaces, that's pretty good.

Buch seemed to turn it on a few times there. Going back to what someone said about his board work, I'm not expecting him to bull through guys and be like Jagr along the boards, but if he can take a hit, keep possession of the puck, and then move it, that's good board work. Seemed to forecheck harder along the boards as well and came up with the puck a few times because of it.

Hayes and Vesey need a finisher on their line

Skjei seemed to be pressing a bit too much in the third...some great plays but a few passes that were badly forced as well

Andersson didn't play. Chytil was very noticeable on offense. Good passing/ vision. Uses his body well. Seems legit so far.

Nell and Georiev are breathing down Halverson's neck for an AHL spot

Halvy will go down as one of my most hated picks. Posted that the Rangers should have taken Brayden Point at the time of the selection.

40 NHL points in 68 games as a 20 year old rookie.

RH offensive C.

Made the Drouin trade possible.

Also Allan Walsh is one of the best in the biz. Drouin hasn't scored 30 NHL regular season goals, and he got him a $33MM contract.

Our 2014 and 2015 drafts are crimes against humanity.

Thanks for the Stromwall info all.

I thought Kampfer had a decent game.
He seemed engaged and had a few timely hits.

Buchnevich looks a lot more physically ready for this season. A good game from him. Chytil with another very nice game. Sets up the only goal. Very quick release and he knows where to go. Lettieri, Carey and Tambellini all played pretty well. Miller was by far the best of the forward vets. I really like Lettieri in this game and Tambellini I wasn't expecting much out of but he's had two pretty good games. Right now I like them both more than I like Gropp. Carey involves himself and usually in a positive way.

Skjei was the best D but Pionk and DeAngelo very good. Graves and Kampfer pretty good. Bereglazov seemed to struggle at times.

I was happy with Nell. Very composed in net.
