I think its more of a mental thing with him. He doesn't speak great English, he just turned 18, he'd be one of the youngest players in recent years to start in the NHL, he seems overwhelmed during interviews, from his answers I almost gathered that he didn't want to start in the NHL. I question how he'd hold up over 82 games, I don't think hockey skill is lacking with him at this level, but is he ready for a full NHL season from a mental standpoint? I don't think so. Andersson, I think is mentally ready, but I think the game is too fast for him right now.
Fair though I think you're probably projecting a bit about his mental state. He's said explicitly that he's trying to make the team out of camp. his unfamiliarity with the languge might be one reason he seemed hesitant
It's a decent point that being so young might be a bit difficult but if he's ready talent wise...
