This might be the worst ****ing rule idea i have ever seen. It is the most discretionary vague thing to rule on. They are going to ruin games this year.

Way to go NHL

This rule should not be enforced this much unless there's blatant cheating. Why? It makes zero difference.

Slashing was slightly deserved, but there needs to be a line drawn between actual slashes and incidental contact due to movement/shooting

Agree 100%

Imagine in the playoffs, or during a big game where it decides it. People are going to ****ing riot. I already want to riot and it's the 2nd preseason game.

Haven't been able to follow too much during the off season. What the heck was that face off penalty?

Basically they're very strictly enforcing the players positions during faceoffs. Wingers can't be inside the circle at all, centers have to be perfectly lined up in their hashmarks, etc.

Players have long cheated those rules and are having a hard time adjusting

Appreciate it, thanks.

What specifically about Chytil do you find lacking so far?

I think its more of a mental thing with him. He doesn't speak great English, he just turned 18, he'd be one of the youngest players in recent years to start in the NHL, he seems overwhelmed during interviews, from his answers I almost gathered that he didn't want to start in the NHL. I question how he'd hold up over 82 games, I don't think hockey skill is lacking with him at this level, but is he ready for a full NHL season from a mental standpoint? I don't think so. Andersson, I think is mentally ready, but I think the game is too fast for him right now.
