Nailed it
The only thing I would have tried is maybe Mailloux/Struble.
We know Mailloux/Xhekaj was fairly solid in Laval.
Nailed it
Yeah Therrien taught me about depp, respek and second guessing.Everyone talks about the legacy Weber left behind in the room. But we neglect to recognize the legacy Therrien left behind.
Indeed. He can't make Farrell bigger or faster
I don't think we can.Because everyone is trying hard to forget that legacy.
I hope he develops into a solid player but I also know that having too many smallish players is not a recipe for playoff success.Indeed.
But his deficiencies have been clear from the start. IF, and it's a big IF, he eventually becomes an NHL regular, it won't be until he overcomes them.
That the Habs are still invested in him reflects their belief that he's earned the ongoing opportunity to develop. Not sure why that would upset anyone
It damn sure isn't a legacy that Therrien should be proud of.I don't think we can.
I could see Mallioux and/or Reinbacher staying until Guhle is ready to return. Right now they would only have Savard and Barron to play the right side.
Because everyone is trying hard to forget that legacy.
Unless Hughes does something completely unforeseen. As I mentioned earlier. Full line-up with a few guys getting final auditions. Unless a guy or two do so well, they warrant another game, I expect tonight will be the last preseason game for Beck, Condotta, Farrell, Davidson, Reinbacher, and Mailloux.
Agreed.I hope he develops into a solid player but I also know that having too many smallish players is not a recipe for playoff success.
I think Mailloux like Beck is auditioning for first call up.You're right. It's very possible he's focusing on playing a better defensive game because they know he can bring offense. I feel like Barron is also here to show his more defensive side this camp. And I think he's having a very good one.
They also want Farrell invested in them.Indeed.

I'll be beyond it as soon as we can get past that 24 spot Bergevin had us in when we were supposedly good.I don't think we can.
It is but pre season determines what vets, prospects can be part of the team longterm and if a player like Farrell is being discussed then everything is on the table? No?Agreed.
But this is a pre-season game thread, no?
I hope it's not in Laval.I’d like an Arber / Mailloux pairing - which I suspect we’ll see this year

It’s hard to fully cover the smell of cigarette on the walls and toe nails tend to get everywhereBecause everyone is trying hard to forget that legacy.
"The post I replied to was upset about this and questioned the competence of doing so. I disagree."Well, sure. Long-term the Habs clearly still see value on giving Farrell opportunity to develop... And rewarding effort & progress made by a 22 year old with pre-season action is perfectly aligned with that.

I expect to see our top group of players go from their C game to their B game.I'm here for the Laine show. I want to see him snipe a few in tonight.
True. But if he develops into an NHL player they can always trade him. He has had an AHL season so he should be given more chances than Tuch who is right out of college.I hope he develops into a solid player but I also know that having too many smallish players is not a recipe for playoff success.

Only very shielded minutes. At least to start. I like that they are moar bigger.I’d like an Arber / Mailloux pairing - which I suspect we’ll see this year
