Cool to see our 2 best goalies getting the nod tonight

And again the D lol
Guhle 1st round pick
Reinbacher 1st round pick
Mailloux 1st round pick
Barron 1st round pick
And Harris and Xhekaj with NHL experience already lol
Yeah that defence is young but with so much upside! And this is without Engstrom and Hutson!

Guhle-Reinbacher
Hutson-Engstrom
Xhekaj-Mailloux
Harris-Barron
Trudeau-Struble

Please Kent don't draft any defenceman in the 1st 2 rounds of this year draft and next.

Focus only on forwards for the next 2 drafts.

I guess from now on they will keep Gallagher with Monahan and Dach. Curious who is the 3rd player on the top line now, Pearson or Heineman?

DOn't sleep on Bogdan Konyushkov. Defenseman of the week in the KHL this past week. Playing 25-26 mins a night in the KHL.

Can’t wait for tonight’s game.

That first pair might be a glimpse into the future. Really exciting pairings to watch and a few notable names up front.

They will face a real challenge whoever the top line is on the Devils side tonight.

Newhook's line stays together. Lets see how they do.

Guhle - Reinbacher

COuld be looking as soon as next season at 25-30 mins a night right there.
They will be our top pairing of the future for sure, but they won't be playing that much next season. No need to.

Don't worry Gallagher will play a great game against AHL'ers tonight.

The Gally fans will be screaming and clapping that he's finally back after a few pre-season games just to fizzle out at the start of the season when it gets more competitive.

Easiest prediction of my life:

Farrell makes some great plays, nobody recognizes them because they don't end in the net and then people bash him even though he's playing with 2 guys who could not be worse suited for his style of game.

Entirely possible.

In his short stint at the end of the season, there’s two things I thought he did very well.

1. He would always put pucks in 50/50 situations and give his team a chance to keep possession.

2. He was aware of where he needed to be on the ice that it’s offensively or defensively even though it wasn’t always successful.

This shows understanding of the game.

Let’s not forget that with time and experience he’ll learn how to play to his strengths and develop techniques to win battles and put himself in favorable positions. He’s still at that acclimation/adaptation phase.

Look at Caufield, he couldn’t win a board battle to save his life. Now he can get the upper hand in some battles because he was able to adapt.

He's too smart for me not to figure it all out.

He will go to the AHL to learn this because he will be afforded to do that, in years past he probably would be one of the few future options to play and have to try to figure it out on the 4th line and be benched by Therrien/Julien.

The difference for me will be, can he progress and grow enough to be a top 6 player or will he have to invent himself a bit more to be a 3rd liner because as we've seen internationally, he's defensively reliable on PK and defending leads. So he has the capacity to play more than an offensive role.

NHL players are coming back and AHL tweeners have the most to prove. Stephens has the ability to score goals at lower level and will be motivated to fight for his spot and Farrell strength is playmaking. It will all ddepend on the competition they ll face !
