He has a great period, he was physical as well.Barron not getting a lot of love? Not sure why not he was the best dman imo. Position was always good. Passes were good. Had a couple strong blocks

Roy had a good period.
Maybe I'm being pessimistic because I hated the pick since the day we made it, I know he's still young, but it would be nice to see Slafkovsky do something to show why he should have been picked even close to first overall.
His buddy Nemec taken 2nd over all last season played the entire year in Utica and I would argue has probably surpassed Slaf because of it. Keeping him in the NHL last season was a mistake. They can change course right now bit probably wont.No clue why they are so dismissive about this idea. We got like 14 NHL forwards too, not like we are starved for a player. Play him with Roy and Andersson on the top line then Heineman/Mailley/Farell as the second line.
You’ll say he isn’t doing much but i think he looks way more comfortable than last year and his positioning on smaller ice is way better. He’s getting there, then he’ll get confidence offensively.Roy had a good period.

Xhekaj did mistakes, Barron was steady.Xhekaj and Barron were about as effective as our PP 1 was. UGLY
It was a worse decision than anything we did with KK and Galchenyuk. His buddy Nemec taken 2nd over all last season played the entire year in Utica and I would argue has probably surpassed Slaf because of it. Yeah I'm referring to the totality of the pairing which is why I likened it to PP1.Xhekaj did mistakes, Barron was steady.
zero patience for a big playerThis market will eat Slaf alive. Poor kid.
Never makes sense to draft a project in Montreal and then rush them into the league. This market will eat Slaf alive. Poor kid.

He said himself that he was not nervous when drafted and liked the challenge. So be it. Play better and the fans wil cheer him. He should never have played in the NHL last year. This market will eat Slaf alive. Poor kid.
Sadly you have to blame management. Slaf oozes top 6 potential but rushing him was a asinine idea. This market will eat Slaf alive. Poor kid.
