He was better before that. You could see the IQ and the high odds of him becoming a ring general before the draft. Slaf never showed me anything other than I'm big and can score if given the space (which is a hard thing in the modern nhl)His buddy Nemec taken 2nd over all last season played the entire year in Utica and I would argue has probably surpassed Slaf because of it. Keeping him in the NHL last season was a mistake. They can change course right now bit probably wont.
He can't follow the game at modern day speed, Nemec is built for the modern game.
