We never have the right personnel to play anyone's style that they prefer.

****ing shocking, isn't it? Just utterly ****ing shocking. New coach, same ********, same ****stain of a GM running this mess of an operation.

The real problem is JAMES DOLAN. He knows nothing about hockey, and trusts Glen implicitly.

But what will it do? Will it fill them with skill all of a sudden? The team just isnt good enough. Lots of problems and its a bunch of players thrown together. Its bad
 
Not sure what we'd do... Staal is out, Sather only would deal Del Zotto if he got another defenseman in return, so we're sort of up **** creek when it comes to offensive options.

We could start cutting the dead weight, though.

More scorers needed that can't score! Lets see...Havlat? ...Ryder? ...Anyone else past prime that's on the radar?
 
So true about at least we have a 1st this year (knock on wood).

We could finally have a shot at an elite franchise forward.

Secondly, I think I'm more excited about the offseason and sitting around on HF than actually watching this garbage. Literally more entertaining, personally. In the offseason I can actually dream of success and the potential of this team...then the season starts.

I can't blame Dolan. He at least opens his paycheck. He will spend whatever it takes. I think he's just been bamboozled by Sather's past. I hate Jimmy, but the man pays a **** ton for Sather's mistakes. Blaming Jimmy is like blaming Forest Gump for Lieutenant Dan's legs.
 
Should have kept the 2012 team together and added to it. Gaborik trade still could be made, but i wouldnt mind a team full of 20 goal scorers who work hard. Bottom 6 forward and another top 6 forward and a depth dman would have made that 2012 team dangerous. Yep i went there

I'd be excited if I didn't already know that Cigar ****er will trade for some vet that will squeak us into the last wild card spot and get us a 16th overall :shakehead.
 
AV says he needs more offensive talent. Sather needs to do his damn job. He hired the coach. Give him what he wants.
 
AV said we have to play more defense-oriented hockey. Only a matter of time before that was going to happen.

Sather is such a moron for thinking that a coach can "unleash" the offense on this poorly-constructed roster and that Torts was the one holding back all their hidden talent.
 
Judging by Dolan's past history with the Knicks, I expect AV fired by noon tomorrow and Sather coaching/GM/president after AV's comment. :sarcasm:

In all seriousness, you work with the roster that you have, and it sounds like AV is realizing that he doesn't have the roster that he wants. Some people speculating on twitter that a trade is incoming, maybe this is the final straw for Sather to pull the trigger on a deal.

There is no way AV will be fired. Sather would not admit the hiring was a mistake. We have AV, and Sather needs to make a trade or do something to get him the players he needs.
 
I have a feeling AV is gonna remake this team in the offseason/at the deadline. The only guys I think are definitely safe are Kreider, Nash, Lundqvist, McDonagh and perhaps John Moore (based on potential). Everyone else I could see maybe not being here. Those five mentioned above fit into AV's style.

I think it happens, regardless of how the rest of the season goes.
