Yup which is something that needs to be corrected. Like idk how you fix it but you’re right, getting goalie’d every now and then is bad luck, having it happen 2/3 of the time is on the players. They’re not doing a good enough job of finishing, simply put. They need to fix it.

This team can’t score. Not sure how much more you can expect from your back up. Gave up a low danger goal but solid otherwise.

They just don’t score. This is a game we win all day long last year. Could always rely on the pp to get us back in games. They aren’t getting puck thru to Kreider on the pp. that I’m noticing a lot.

That predictable PowerPlay is just humming. Glad no one would consider adjustments in players and structure.

I didn't think there was anyway Turk would get fired this season but if this doesn't turn by the end of the month and this team is out of the playoffs then anything is possible

Seriously think about the tear the team is going to need to go on during the 2nd half of this year to stay in the playoff hunt. I've said it before but it is going to have to be something like a .800 winning pct for a sustained period. I not sure they can play better either. They have played well enough to win. They aren't a bad team, just bad results.

It won't need to be THAT steep of a tear, but it'll need to be a hell of a lot better than the results we've been seeing.

Of course we can’t establish against aggressive PKs. We remain stationary while passing the puck between the same three guys at the top. Active sticks or pressure will do the job. Too predictable.

That's what happens when you really don't have a guy who can make plays from down low, then teams can force the play up high. Yes you want Fox and Panarin being the distributors but sometimes you have to attack from a different area

Cover CK 100% of the time, block the seams even if you have to leave the shooter open, and let everything else go (point shots, Panarin wrist shots, Trocek high slot shots) is the key to keeping our PP under control. A shot might sneak through here or there, but not at the 25-30% clip of yesteryear, closer to 10-15% aka a shitty rate

They need a big time shot at the point to supplement Zib. But we don't have one

I don’t think they are playing that badly. They are playing a pretty sound style of hockey but just not getting the results.

Obviously they need to bury one on the Pp. Need to move the puck a little quicker. Nashville did a nice job on the pk.

Plenty of shots and also missed the net a ton of times. They just aren’t getting the bounces and putting the puck in the net.

Need to stick with the plan and not deviate. The problem is not everyone gets a playoff spot, teams in the met who shouldn’t be are surging and they need points. That could lead to some pressing.

Chytil and KK are basically our two best 5v5 forwards and f***wad coaches had goodrow out over both of them for the last minute and a half.

Panarin should also be moved off PP1 in favor of Kakko

They’re also too stationary and not spread far enough. One guy can basically cover both and thereby eliminate the numerical advantage. They need some sort of rotation or shifting around to add a little unpredictability. For that you need an LH shot on the right circles. Otherwise 10 telegraphs his next play.

He's just not that good, we have to accept it at this point. He doesn't have any exceptional skills and his skating is a huge detriment. Of all of the kids, Chytil is the best and Kakko is a close 2nd. Lafreniere is a mediocre 3rd liner and Kravtsov would get knocked down by a tropical depression wind gust.

They are not a good team either. They rely on individual plays far too much, most every team we play is better organized than the Rangers. As we saw especially early in the game, they often don't seem to know what the other players are going to do next. This team easily out-talents most other teams, but wonky coaching hampers it.
