I think Ho-sang makes it too. I truly do.
I'd be okay moving Mikheyev for a draft pick and signing Ho-sang to league minimum contact. Either way I hope we sign Ho-sang to a Marlies deal and see what he can do. Hope he gets in 4 of these 6 pre-season games and we (and more importantly management) can see what he's got

Say what?! Clearly you aren't even watching the game.

Ho-Sang is quite skilled, you can see it. But you can see how his tendency to try and make a slightly more complicated soft play that doesn't work has probably put him in the dog house in the past. Not going to make a judgement on Game 1 of pre-season either way. It can be a double edged sword to be a skill guy who wants to stand out and make skill plays and not your meat and potatoes stuff. But how do you earn trust?

He is signed to an AHL deal

I really liked a play from him in the first when he fought to body a guy along the boards and created a turnover. He got a little too cute later in the game but he's certainly in the mix.

Skated hard, threw hits, dropped the gloves and even scored a goal. What the hell more do you want from a guy in a preseason game? Lmao

His goal was a fluke and a lot of guys made better plays than he did. Throwing a couple of hits and having a fight doesn't really put you on the radar when the rest of the team is skating hard and playing a higher quality game than he is.

Feels good man.

A lot of positives.

Nylander, Muzz, Brodie, JT all look sharp.

Goaltending was steady.

Bunting looks like a player out there. Doing a lot of good things.

Ho-Sang started ok. Late in the game he became a bonehead.
So did Kerfoot. He had an embarrassing game.
Mikheyev was the usual no scoring touch but good defensively.

Robertson, *Sandin, and Liljegren looked ok.
Just ok.

Gabriel needs to work on his fitness.

he needs to keep it simple... but like you said, too early to tell

he was decent but he wasn’t that great and he’s definitely not an nhler.

he skated like he was stuck in mud all night. Some hits yeah, like those. An absolutely nothing fight. And got gifted a goal by Montreal’s goalie..

he’s not very good

Engvall did not play today and what did Kerfoot do wrong exactly? He actually did a lot of small things which allowed Muzzin and Nylander to have the kind of chances and points they had today.

Very solid overall team effort tonight.

Tavares looked great which is a good sign in his first competitive match since his horrific injury. Nylander looked like he was in mid season form.

Impressive debuts for Bunting and Gabriel, and Ho-Sang showed flashes that he might make the team.

It's great to have hockey back.

Very poor skater, lol, I don’t seem to notice until they don the blue and white, could never take a regular shift in the playoffs,

yeah his poor skating was the biggest thing about his game that stuck out tonight. Which is unfortunate. Seems like a good guy and genuinely excited to be here

His hands are far worse.

Very entertaining player but he’ll be a liability once teams ice real lineups.
