Another loss, guess we better get used to it... On a positive note, the Jets played a little better and Hellebuyck made some pretty good saves. At least now they get two days between games to recharge and retool...

Some positives:
1. Good first period
2. Luc Labelle looking sharp behind the bench
3. Posters were on point with their posts in the GDT
I was ready for Luc to jump over the glass, judo chop Kompon, eye poke Huddy, bitch slap Woodcroft, and drop kick Maurice, then he would start barking out plays and the Jets would magically transform into the team we hoped for.................. ya my mind wandered during the game.

Didn't see it, but I can certainly imagine it.
He is a hard working guy, but certainly not a leader or a top line star who will lead a team to a championship.
I actually think we looked very good for 30 minutes (much better than the last two games), but we ended up looking like pre-17 Jets - very naive.

Trouble scoring goals - a problem I didn't think we'd have - couple of guys are grippin the stick a little too hard.
The D looked better than it has lately - not saying it was good.
Helle played a solid game - good enough to win most nights. We need our shooters to be good shooters

I am totally desensitized to it. I remember when we had a young run and gun team based on fast zone entry, defense carrying puck into the o zone, capitalizing on breakaway/odd man rushes... and we sucked. Now we have the trap era New Jersey Devils - our defense and our goalie are our strengths, our offense (aside from Barzal) is pretty meh. It is our identity now, and I can't complain about the results it has brought us so far, and like I said, since I watch all the games it is "normal" hockey to me now, but I do recognize it is pretty dull for the other teams' fans.
