That's fair if that would be the case even though production wise I probably sold him short since he can probably be like a Nylander offensively.He very likely could thrive offensively in the Leafs top 6. The issue with a player like Lafreniere is you still need to give up a lot to get him and he's not a sure bet. I think you can spend less assets to acquire a player who will put up the same production in the same spot, like Bunting. I'd imagine the acquisition cost is similar to Dach if not more.
I'd like to see them run Liljegren 2RD and Timmins 3RD for a full season. They both have performed well when they get opportunity. Hopefully losing the pressure of winning 1 round will free up the coaching staff to play them next season.
