Team Canada is missing Cirelli and Bedard. Yes, he makes the team.

And we have the FARRR better coach in Cooper.

Yeah, Timmins stashed for the next two years, not a chip.
I could see him being dealt for a forward in a similar contract position. Wade Allison makes sense - the Flyers need a 3RD for next year and the Leafs could use Allison next year when his AAV will be under league minimum. Zetterlund in SJ might be a fit too assuming his next deal is similar to Timmins.

Edit: Kastelic would be an excellent target in a Timmins trade too. Both are under contract for 2 seasons after this. Kastelic is 1 year younger than Timmins and plays C decently well. He has been a positive defensive player at the NHL level and he hits a ton.

Potential cheap, expiring upgrades on ZAR.

Athanasiou, Erne, Lucic, Sundqvist, Namestnikov
Get Namestnikov so he can give us the inside scoop on Tampa Bay and maybe score the game-winning game 7 goal against the team that traded him.

Yeah, but there’s room next year.
There is room to re-sign Schenn or find another dime-a-dozen d-man in UFA, too. They'd have to really like Timmins to hurt their chances this year on a guy who was a minor league trade away from waivers.

Hell, at this point I could see the Leafs waiving him if they bring in a forward without moving a D. Is he really that much more of an asset than Anderson?

Timmins is going no where and will be in the top 6 next year.

I can see Schenn re-signing for the Bogosian in Tampa bay deal. 4yrs/750K cap hit i think. He gave them a discount because he just loves playing in Tampa Bay

Why? He should have a good idea of what contracts he's bringing in to next season after the deadline.
He's the least important to retain. He's replaceable.

You never start at the bottom on the importance scale and work up when it comes to players and cap.

I like this. Already 50% retained by TBL, another 25 from SJ would put him under a mil. They could pass the deadline with Woll sent down then call Woll back up and have 24 on the roster (I think? Pridham HELP)

That’s an interesting idea. The term gives him a decent pay over the years, cap can be buried and he likely doesn’t play the full contract. Note the minimum contract for next years is $775k.
