I mean Elliotte has shown repeatedly he has no idea what the Leafs are doing.
Only one you can trust is Bob, Mirtle, maybe CJ and Mike.
Elliotte himself has said that Dubas is one of the ha rder GMs to read. He has said that Dubas has become very good at disguising who his his targets are. Have we seen any insider have a good sense of what Dubas might dfo?

I feel like we could really use a top 6 winger. I am not sure who that will be at this point, but I feel like that is the goal for our management group today. I really don't like the idea of having Jarnkrok/Kerfoot as 2LW come playoffs, because I do believe we will have ROR as our 3C in the end.

Bunting - Matthews - Nylander
XXXXXX - Tavares - Marner
Kerfoot - O'Reilly - Jarnkrok
Lafferty - Kampf - Acciari
McMann

McCabe - Brodie
Rielly - Schenn
Gio - Liljegren

Holl/Gus/Benn

Sammy/Murray

Obviously money will need to go out to accommodate this, but I think that player should be Holl. Schenn plays the exact same role as Holl, but at a higher rate of consistency. At this point, Holl is just a very expensive insurance policy. Much rather Benn fill that insurance policy role.

I also feel like we played a tighter defensive game with Mitch on that second line with JT. For whatever reason, these past handful of games with Mitch and Auston back together, they have had way too many extended shifts in their own end. Ya the offense looks good at times, but that time and space will be eliminated in May. I don't mind having that as an option when we are down in a game, but I really think we need to go back to AM34/WN88 and JT91/MM16. But that's just my opinion.

Friedman on the radio this morning literally said the Leafs kicked in an extra pick to get O'Rielly retained as much as they did so they could keep Kerfoot.

Stephens has poor sources imo.
Kerf is a much better asset tho, too.

Have to think Gustafsson stays as a #8 in case of a Reilly injury. He will get some games down the stretch but don't expect him to play any playoff games.

Rielly Schenn
McCabe Brodie
Giordano Liljegren
Gustaffsson _______
Benn (AHL)

Holl or Timmins will be traded today.
They just extended Timmins so it’s not him.
it would be Holl or Gustafson.

My trade suggest for Leafs to insulate themselves at goaltending, because Murray is a wildcard but simply too untrustworthy to rely on.

So I suggest Leafs send Alex Kerfoot (@ $3.5 mil) to Minny for Marc-André Fleury (@ $3.5 mil) .. Money In and Money Out and Leafs now have both parts of Pens Cup team.

Leafs can toss in a pick or Kallgren if Minny wants a goalie also in return.

just curious, how is Mike Stephens a reliable trade source?

Bob McKenzie goes and says “a good chance the Leafs don’t do anything”, Freidman says the Leafs “kicked in an extra pick to keep kerfoot” and he goes against both of them?

Everything I’ve seen him post is open ended speculation with “sources” attached at the end.

Is his source Rachel Doerrie?

MAF is not an upgrade at this stage of his career. Pointless move.

Yes, but did they keep Kerfoot at that time because they wanted him on the team or they felt they could get better a return in a different deal.

The orther question is did Elliotte clearly state that this was something that he head heard from sources or was he speculat ing? A lot of people on these boards seem to have trouble distinguishing between the two, causing some of Elliotte's speculation to be reported as actual rumors.

I wouldn't bother, I think Woll has done everything you could ask of him as a #3G

I'd rather use the cap space chasing a middle 6 forward, and trading a defenseman

Who that forward is I do not know

These all sounds like open-ended ambiguous answers. Dubas has surprised a lot of people this deadline so I wouldn't lean one way or the other in terms of what he will or won't do.

To Toronto: Morgan Frost
To Philadelphia: BOS 1st Rounder + Alex Steeves

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Frost - Tavares - Nylander
Kerfoot - O’Reilly - Jarnkrok
Lafferty - Kampf - Acciari

I only see them move for a Goalie if he is a clear #1.
Can't see any reason they do what you're proposing.

The more I think about it, the more I am sold on Toffoli as a target. Signed next year at 4.2. Could help any of the top 3 lines.

He said "that extra draft pick that they paid to minnesota in the the ryan orielly deal was to keep alex kerfoot on the roster"

In order to obtain another scoring LW they would have to move out Kerfoot and a D man. It’s doable. They don’t really need kerfoot on the pk anymore.
Depends who they target, Frost would be a great target and has ties to Toronto. Use Bostons 1st and whatever else it takes to acquire him outside of Knies and Niemela obviously. Only 800k against the cap, Ontario boy, etc. Would slot nicely next to Tavares and Nylander.
