If we can get the split we have home ice advantage for the rest of the seriesOddsmakers still have us as slight favourites to win the series for what it’s worth.

Will Feral (see what I did there) disagrees. Sorry, sorry. heh
Hockey will always be lesser in LA. As much as the NHL tries.
That said at one time Basketball wasn't the big boy on the block either and that changed with the Lakers. The NHL is forever trying to capture that and it was the scheme with Gretz. It happened for a bit, and then fizzled out. Its ironic perhaps that the SC champ LA Kings version were far lesser known in LA probably then the Gretzky/Nichols etc incarnation.
There is only one answer to the question ‘How can you watch that video for 7 minutes and still not see it was touched by a high stick’. We all know what the answer is. Boys need to take the us against the world approach next game. They know the league is against them and will do everything to screw them over, so we’ll see what this team is made of next game. And not shitting on Stu, but it’s time he needs to be better than average.
The NBA realized if they actually marketed and promoted their star players that interest in the league would take off. Crazy concept. The NHL takes the opposite approach, to drag their stars down to the level of the average plug, and wonders why the league has stagnating TV viewership, nothing really more than family and friends down south. Will Feral (see what I did there) disagrees. Why even bother commenting on a game that you did not watch?wakes up--sees oilers lost, checks the board, Refs fault again and not the teams--turns off HFboards due to the usually rants.
If so many of you are sure the NHL is against the Oilers, it is time so sue the NHL for rigging games.
Oh they saw it alright. It just didn’t fit with the ending they wanted.Yeah that angle for sure it hits his stick, how does the NHL not see that angle…..
Yams makes a good pass here and there that results in nothing. I'd put Holloway in and go 12 and 6. Broberg played 3minutes and 10 seconds . That does nothing for the team. Speed and forechecking would be more valuable I'd say.yeah its just weird. Woody switches out Kane for RNH which is helpful but he keeps Yams in there who is not.
Woody has little of the classic coach sense of which players are on, feeling it, or going. Kostin and Ryan and Bjugstad have shown me they have got some game in this series but they're not getting the consistent looks with Drai, and when they have Kostin and Ryan have scored. How is that being overlooked?

Yeah, the parking of Holloway in his potential breakout rookie year where we actually obviously needed a 6th talented player in topsix is odd. You look at teams like Montreal in their cup run they used every potential player they had in the roster that could make some sort of impact. Not to compare the two teams but Holloway needed to be here. This playoffs is so important. Its a wide open year in the NHL. Holloway gives us so much more talent on puck and ability to make plays than yams. I said it was time to move on from Yams at TDL. We could have even added another player for the 3.1M. Theres just no point retaining Yams.Yams makes a good pass here and there that results in nothing. I'd put Holloway in and go 12 and 6. Broberg played 3minutes and 10 seconds . Yano’s a good guy, but he’s as useful as Devin Shore out there. Not sure why he continues getting gifted top 6 minutes. Call up Holloway. Need that damn spark plug black ace of a player. Not a guy who’s as useful as Jesse Puljujarvi.Yeah, the parking of Holloway in his potential breakout rookie year where we actually obviously needed a 6th talented player in topsix is odd. All they have to remember is that they have had the lead in all but 7 minutes and need to crash Korpisalo more. They are getting goalie'd good that all of this other noise would not even effect them if they could finish a damn scoring chance. They had chances in all 3 games to bury LA, but have not done it. Sh** refs asideIt was a blown call, but what's done is done. I hope they get over it quickly and be ready for game 4. There is no point in dwelling over this. "I'll stop watching this rigged league, etc..." You'll be back next year in the pre-season no matter what, and you know it.
Stay focus, stay disciplined, and get this done boys. I am confident!
Yep. Again I hope its helpful in pointing out that this one call alone doesn't necessarily change eventual outcome, and Kings are still on PP and who's to say the Oilers even go on to get the result in OT? As people are mentioning the Oilers are 2-10 in OT in McDrai era. With Korps vs Skinner in net as well probability is that Kings win in OT.It was a blown call, but what's done is done. Yams looked like a pinball bouncing off three Kings players in one play tonight. He's not built for playoff hockey. I don't think he'll be retained.Yeah, the parking of Holloway in his potential breakout rookie year where we actually obviously needed a 6th talented player in topsix is odd. That comment by Renney still lives true to this day. The 10K fine was worth it too. Typical Californian hockey officiating.
He's a known loser with 40k posts. Best to ignore himWhy even bother commenting on a game that you did not watch?
Yeah have to move on from him. Completely uselessYams looked like a pinball bouncing off three Kings players in one play tonight. He's not built for playoff hockey. I don't think he'll be retained.
I still think we're a couple of pieces away from having the best version of this team regardless of what happens this year. I think next year we'll be even better if the right moves are made.
