I assume you are talking Wiz. Might want to be precise; he makes 5, 5, and 3. If nothing else we need him in the regular season. That is a lot of offense from the blueline. Richards just needs to manage him better.
You may be right with your numbers, but according to cap geek, it's 5.5, 5.5, and 5.5 over the next three years.

Thank you, you have heard what I have heard, repeatedly; you get it

Yeah, we Montrealers should know better. Some of us do repeat that stuff even though the same happened to us with MLB and the Expos. When an organization is a cluster**** from top to bottom for years, of course, it's not gonna be full every night, except in places where the team has a long long history and where it's the national sport (ex. the Leafs).

I think they have the right to be upset. Our media and its sheep loves to **** on "expansion" teams that haven't had success yet like the Jackets and the Preds.

Maybe local media outlets, but Doug MacLean ans other hockey pundits have always said that CB has a huge hockey following. I don't think no one doubted the market, it was moreso the product on the ice that caused the huge commotion of no fan base to support it. After last year when they showed that they were a team to watch for, I'm sure minds started to change.

I think it's fitting the series ended in a score of 4-3. It's just too bad we were on the losing end of it.

I am so damn proud of this team. Nobody gave them a chance and they just said "Screw you" and made their own chance. There were so many beastly performances it's hard to remember them all but I'll never forget Dubi's work in this series. He was a monster.

I'm proud of the fans too. I can't imagine a better atmosphere for our breakout playoff performance. Well done 5th line!

Without a doubt our MVP of the series. I think Jenner & Calvert had great series as well. Other than that I'm not sure I'd put any performances in the beastly category for the whole series. Johnson in the 1st 3 games, Joey had moments but not a great series.

Oh and how can I forget the Umberger playoff gear?

Gotta get a little bit more skill

But I am totally impressed with the young core:

Starting with Bob

Jack Johnson, Murray, Prout, Savard, Erixon

& the forwards Johanson, Jenner, Dubinsky, Atkinson, Calvert, Horton, Foligno, Letestu

Artem was missing this series.. Umby & Toots were hurt, Wizzer wasn't hurt but was a sinbin regular

Hopefully we have some skill coming in Wennberg Borkstrand etc.,

Don't know if that sweat, tears, or both, but Dubi's face is awfully wet in this presser

As Bear Bryant once said "We didn't lose, we just ran out of time"...

On the other hand, they might just have started a bit too late. Waiting until ten minutes left and down 4-0 is not the best route to victory. I'm proud and delighted by their heart and determination to get back into it, just wish they had started earlier.

Or Pittsburgh had gotten complacent earlier :sarcasm:

Little bit of truth to both sides of that discussion. A few more minutes and we could have tied them; they play with the same intensity all game and its not even close. Still a great effort.

Obviously Bob wasn't the reason we lost. He played pretty well. The numbers say he may have played better than "pretty well."

But I hoped for more. I don't think he played like one of the best goalies in the NHL, which is what most of us assumed he was before the series.

Wiz was..well you know.

Lots of good signs all over the place from youth, but as DSL pointed out last week, lots of teams tend to think that only to be disappointed by future mediocrity. Islanders fan were beyond excited for the future last year and then, well..

Here's to next year.

..And saying a d-man making 5.5 million a year is "worth it" after being the worst playoff performer on the team because he was good in the regular season shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how the league works. IMO.

Isles made the playoffs in a shortened season and we don't have Capuano as coach, Wang as owner and Nabokov as goalie. Not to be arrogant or anything, but we have a pretty good chance of being back in the post-season.

The isles really weren't that great last year, they were somewhat just riding a wave of hot play just like we were, unfortunately ours crashed short, the isles are nowhere as deep as we are, I can't see us being the isles of 2015

Fun season by the CBJ. Made this play-off round very entertaining. Would have been wonderful to win it, but great learning experience for the young guys.

I look for JD and JK to do the same thing this summer that they did last summer. Target one good free agent, draft smartly, and develop our talent.

I believe that the future looks bright and it has become fun watching the team get there.

Just got back frim the game. Sat in section 216 row L and the crowd was awesome for almost all of the game. The crowd was electric in the 3rd but I wish the team would have played with that intensity all night and not just the last 10 minutes. But here's to next year! GO JACKETS!

Bylsma called this a birth of a rivalry in his post-game press conference.

It'd be nice to have a rivalry where the other team felt like it was as well, for once.

Lost in all this is the question.

Did we EVER see the real Nathan Horton this year?

How much better can he alone make this team next year. I would have to think he is going to be extremely motivated to rehab and come into camp ready to help take this Jacket team to a new level next year after watching the energy in Nationwide

Just wanted to point out that Jenner, in his first season, has more playoff goals than Rick Nash does in his career. #CBJ

The urgent play should have started at the first drop of the puck. Spotting the pens 4 goals is not a good way to win a hockey game.

Kudos for battling back. Wiz has to go. I don't care how many PP points he has in the regular season. He is a disaster waiting to happen every ****ing shift.
