LW/RW Fabian Lysell (2021, 21st, BOS)

Interested to see what Lysell does this year. I remember when people in the draft/scouting community were split on him about if he was a top 15 talent (he was in the conversation to go at 10 to the Senators at one point) or not. He took over in the 2021 U18 to beat the States. Hope he gets a chance with the Bruins this season.

Has been a pretty poor start. Funny enough with how bad the bruins have been maybe he gets a shot. Providence middle of the road team, and for some reason take an insane amount of penalties ???

Had a great game the other night, had some real flashes in the preseason. Still think he turns into a good player if he actually gets an extended chance.

When he was with the Giants you could see a very selfish and quite frankly, dumb player. His hockey IQ is extremely low. You can see the skill but he’s a top 6 guy or nothing, and without the brain I don’t see him being in the NHL long at all. I imagine he carves out a career in the SHL after a short stint with the big club where he will look lost and way out of his comfort zone. Hopefully I’m wrong but I think any unbiased poster would see the same lack of hockey IQ as I have over the years.
