Hey, how did the crowd look and sound on TV?

Lots of people in the main GDT under Stanley Cup commented on it.
All good comments, talking about how much fun it was just watching it.
Say the fans really deserve it...until you know...:shakehead

Less turnovers and different officials will be key.

They really changed the momentum of the game with some soft and questionable calls. Even some blatant screw ups. Not what you want in a playoff game.

Feels like we'll see a game six back here. We'll see what happens.

All this crap about Herbstreit, etc, diverts from the fact that any hockey player who wore the CBJ jersey tonite should be embarrassed at the way the played. The Pens owned them. What a disgraceful performance! I hope they can turn it around, but the message they sent tonite to the Pens is that the series is theirs if they really want it. Leave Herbstriet alone and focus on the guys who choked.

Crushing loss. I left the arena feeling the same way I've felt too often this year - like the CBJ missed a huge opportunity. I'm further saddened by the gloom that sooner or later, it'll be the last time they squander an opportunity. Then I remember how many times they've rebounded from these situations and that we have a game in less than 48 hours and my spirits are lifted. Big game Wednesday. This team tends to play its best with their backs to the wall and some adversity. Sooner or later, they'll be able to handle prosperity...maybe in round 2 or later this series.

Jack Johnson a touch indignant when asked if first three games have shown #CBJ they can play with #Pens: "Why wouldn’t we be able to play..."...with them. They put their skates on one foot at a time just like we do. They’re nothing special. We’re a pretty damn good team, too."

I'm just going to have a hard time buying into the whole embarrassed angle that some are promoting here.

We lost a two goal lead in the third. It will happen to good teams in these playoffs.

The team played hard the whole night. Disappointment? Sure. Embarrassment? No.

I think the players need to get together and rebound; but I don't think they should be embarrassed. They left it out there. This wasn't a lack of heart issue tonight.

There is the old saying that by around mid-season you pretty much know who you are. We're probably not going to have that epiphany anytime this season. I was hoping we could finish the game off, especially after that quick answer to start the third, but I didn't have any confidence. I feel better down a goal or tied going into the third as opposed to a lead. I also feel better when we play on the road.

Obviously I like a quick start, but how many times haven't we let the other team back in it the second half of the season - even if we managed to get the win? There was Dallas, but they really came at us in the third - we were kind of lucky.

That's exactly the kind of attitude I want him to have. :handclap:

At one point in the season, we had some crazy-arse record of success going into the 3rd period with a lead. Sometime soon after the Olympic break, it seems just the opposite became true.

This is how I felt, too- not confident. I was watching with a good (Pens fan) friend and told him I've seen enough CBJ this year to know they can let leads evaporate in a blink, the Pens could get on their horse and the Jackets wouldn't know what hit them. I even felt a bit like the 1st Pens goal could have been good for the Jackets because if they went into the 3rd up 2-0 they could easily let it get away from them.

The Jackets right now are an encouraging team but they're just so young. They need to learn to play with the lead. This game should certainly have been 3-0 at some point before the 2nd period, but it wasn't- and they need to continue putting shots on goal.

Here's to game 4

I love it, but talk is cheap. Let's prove to them they're nothing special on Wednesday and tie this series up at 2. I want to see a game 6 at Nationwide, potentially a game 6 with the chance to advance to round 2.

You're right. The way this club reacts to adversity is truly inspiring. It's a shame only 1 of the 16 teams will end the season with a win.

I was told the officials would "let the boys play." when will this happen?

After giving the other team four straight power plays, of course.

It reminds me of a fight I once had with my older brother when we were kids. I don't remember who starts it (probably me), but he got in six or seven solid shots before I got him. Then our mother swoops in to break it up, and he whacked me again. I went back after him, and she wouldn't let me even things up since in her eyes, 8=1.

Of course, I got him back with a torrent of blistering verbal jabs.

Gave my cell phone a bath in the washing machine, radiator hose in the car blew......they say bad things come in threes. Game 3 in the 3rd period filled it in for me.

Just a very poor 8 minute or so stretch. The Jackets are outworking and outperforming the Penguins overall. This series is far from over. Bob needs to show his "A game". He's been outperformed by MAF and that's not so good. It would also be nice if the officials weren't ridiculous. The unsportsmanlike on Foligno was about as weak as it gets.

As was Johansen's 'hold' and Jenner's 'interference'

What's bad is that, I can picture a young Mayor Bee, fighting with young Commissioner Bee, only to be separated by First Lady Bee; which is followed be a rash of verbal remarks flying both ways, and finished off with something along the lines of "And your haircut sucks!"

It's almost like I was there...

I don't know if this counts as positivity but technically speaking, we're in the same situation as the Hawks.

Although I am still bewildered, angry, shocked, hurt, (insert any adjective that describes sorrow/anger/confusion) we arguably could be up 3-0 (but then again, PIT could say the same). We should have had this game, and we should have had game 1. We just need to play. Back at it Wednesday, but damn, Wednesday take your time, going to take a while to get over this sting.

Yeah, you probably started it!:laugh::laugh:
(you know I'm just kidding)

Oh, there is no "probably" about that. I instigated nonstop, and even if I couldn't physically win, I'd always get the last word in.

Some things never change. So when I say that everyone here is like my brothers, it's true in so many ways.;)

I thought the 4 penalties that the jackets got right after it was 2-0 really hurt. Fleury looked shaky, they had him on the ropes and they just couldn't knock him out. Pitt getting all that powerplay time really helped settle him into the game imo. A couple of those calls were ********.

Umberger had a lazy nonchalant clearing attempt on the 4th goal. He could of easily got the puck out of the zone. This should be his last season. If they want to improve they need to replace him with a better player.

I thought Prout was brutal. He was struggling to make tape to tape passes. The puck felt like a grenade whenever it was on his stick. I think I would play Schultz in game 4.

Dubinsky and Johnson are cleary the leaders of this team. I really hope one of them finally gets the C.

Game 4 is pretty much a must win if they want to win this series.
