Series should have ended tonight but better late than never to coach properly.

Leafs don't need more than 5 games to win this series if Matthews and Marner are leading your 5v5 minutes and/or able to get in rhythm. Tampa has only played a complete 60 minutes once. Other than that they only show up for a period in all other games.

Perhaps some of you guys should lighten up a little. Seems like half the board wanted Keefe fired for playing Holl last night but Holl played very well, and we won the game. I think Keefe and Holl may well be the two most under appreciated Maple Leafs.

Through 3x series, playoff Keefe seems to fall into the pattern of making a lot of little roster changes that don't materially impact the team, fail to motivate the group to really go for the jugular vs the opposition (Game 5, 6 vs Montreal, Game 4, 6 vs Tampa) and can't solve for the park the bus defense which neutralizes most of the Leafs offensive weapons late in a series.

Also, can Keefe and co. work on a more urgent PP when you really need a goal? Matthews on the point is also such a massive waste.

The personnel choices are one thing, but his in-game work is abysmal in big games. The deeper a series goes, the other team squeezes the life out of them with adjustments and he fails to keep up.

- Out-coached in 3 straight series
- Very clear losing attitude (the handshake line comment along with being fine with a 2-2 series after game 4). Compare it to what Cooper said before game 7 tonight
- For 3 straight playoff runs, teams have collapsed to their net and let the leafs play perimeter hockey. Keefe still hasn't figured out how to adjust to that
- Stagnant PP with no adjustments. Its been struggling for a while now and he didn't change a thing. Costed us the game (0/3 on the PP in game 7)

I don't care about Keefe's regular season achievements, this isn't good enough. Barry Trotz is available, do everything you can to get him here

Not saying Keefe is reason number one the Leafs keep losing in the playoffs but I could see an argument to be made that there’s no reason why the team and coach are both simultaneously learning the hard way how to win. A veteran coaching voice who can guide a team through these series ups and downs might have them take the early series more urgently or make the late series adjustments we never seem to be able to.
