His value is at the lowest point it's been since he entered the NHL.

I expect the Kings will hope he bounces back and there is some kind of demand at the deadline. I would not extend him and feel bad for whoever gives him a multi-year contract.

My guess is Doughty is the last guy from the Cup years that will get a new contract, and Kovalchuk was probably the last significant addition for a while.

2. Any word on the type of contract he is looking for?

Probably too big of one. He's already at $4.6m, and $4.8m in real money, so I would think he'll want at least $5m.

3. If he is moved, what is a realistic return? What type of pick(s) and/or prospects and/or roster players?

The younger, the better. Nothing on a roster. As cheap and as far away from a 2nd contract as possible. If you're desperate, a 1st would be great. It is Tyler Toffoli though. A completely dependent winger, who isn't a great goal scorer. Some spare change maybe.

That was one of the best games of the horrible 1999 season. Visheau fought Simpson and Probert and then there was the Laperriere fight in a game the Kings actually won.

What's your goal? To tank, if your an Avs fan...or you hate the Avs? Why would you want the 450th NHL forward in shooting percentage? 5.8%. that is weak, easy to
play against, does not play with his linemates, and had 3 goals, 2 assists on the FIRST PP....not in one month...that's the entire year.

You can have him. Oh, and he's slow. so there's that too.

1. I Don't think so. I don't think he fits the Kings plans going forward, he's part of a mid-tier age group that doesn't really exist on the Kings anymore. He's too young to just age out as a vet leader, and too old to grow with the core. Likely to keep him this season so he rebounds a bit and to capture some value as a rental imo.

2. Haven't seen anything thus far but he's in no position to demand a huge raise, even if he has a bounceback year. I imagine he has a 25-25-50 type season and signs as a middle-six winger on a better team for like 5 million or something. Total speculation on my part though. But I also don't think he's dead like others here do.

3. Hard to say, his value is rock-bottom right now. I'd presume the Kings don't move him until they establish his 'real' value, or they trade him now with both the Kings and the receiving team under the assumption that he's a 25-goal scorer banking on that bounceback. Anything less wouldn't really make sense for the Kings. I'd probably be happy with a 2nd and something small at this point, with the hope that he can have a good bounceback season and get a late first at the deadline for a team looking for scoring help, which is what i'd prefer.

Need a real powerplay...a real offensive coach. I always wondered what went on with Pierre Turgeon and why he left. I actually never heard how much he was involved.

Consider in ONE GAME this season, Brad Richardson scored 4 even strength goals.

In ONE ENTIRE SEASON, Kopitar (1) and Toffoli (3) combined 4 powerplay goals.
In what alternate universe can this even be possible? You'd think Kopitar missed 45 games and wore 2 knee braces and Toffoli had a broken wrist for something
this putrid. But no, they both played #1 PP for most of year. Kopitar and Toffoli had 4 pp goals all year between them and Richardson scores 4 even strength
goals in one game. Yes, I know I already stated that. But I still cannot fathom this.

My main concern with some of these guys is have they approve of Todd McLellan as the new coach yet. Can't expect the players to work hard and perform well if they don't like the coach.
