For offseason moves, I think its interesting to see who is a client of agent Pat Brisson, who is a good buddy of Luc. There was speculation that Kopitar’s mega deal only happened after Dean was removed and other people in management took over negotiations.

from read this form … would you be interested in kessel?

I think if the Kings acquire any player, it will be 1 LHD or 2C. Do not think they will acquire another winger. Too many already.

Blake has only audibly named 1 specific position that must be better (in TM conference / or end of yr conf? No matter, 1 of the 2)
"we have to be better a second center" (Kings were worst in NHL at 2C and Carter is not the answer going forward - as in now)
And I would surmise they would want a good, capable D veteran (under 30) that can play with Doughty or at least 2 LHD.
He does not have to be top level elite type - just better than Forbort.

I think it's time to remove Forbort off top pairing and Iafallo off #1 LW.
Just do it. Both come up short at those positions, period.

I think the kings already made there move for 2c with Prohorkins I am really hoping someone takes over from forbot as drews partner

I honestly believe that Forbort is one of the biggest issues holding the team back. His inability to move the puck is a serious issue that ends up hurting the whole team. From beating a forecheck to the breakout to offensive zone pressure, having a guy who can't move the puck on the ice can throw the whole team off. Just look at the WOWY for this past season and you can see how much better the team played when Forbort was not on the ice. Forbort can be valuable, but he can't be logging top pair minutes against top pair competition.

Kessel in LA with these guys? He would balloon up to about 250 within a month and by the time the season starts he'd be able to blend in with the average person sitting in the 300's.
